  1. This is the first time I've bought a bra from Ewa Michalak and the experience is a good one. The bra itself is great, I bought it because I'm kind of looking for a nude bra to wear under thinner white t-shirts.

It's a pretty basic balconette bra with some nice touches. The straps are fully adjustable and have nice detailing as well as the top edges of the cups. What makes this different from bras I've tried so far is that the seams run vertically on the cups, and there are 4 rows of eyes on the closure.

In terms of fit, it fit me pretty ... well, although I have a tiny bit of gaping on my larger side which is strange. It gave a really rounded shape which I'm not at all used to considering all my seamed bras thus far have given me an uplifted, but more natural shape.

It did fail my thin white t-shirt test since I was able to see all the seams and also the top edge of the cup. I'll be saving this bra for looser fitting cotton blouses. One thing I really didn't like was the straps. Although the detailing is really pretty, it made it really difficult to adjust the straps.

    Note on Ewa Sizing:
I've heard that Ewa Michalak bras fit tighter in the band than most bras, and many have suggested sizing up. Cheryl from Invest in Your Chest mentioned in her review that the 65F fits like a Freya 28F (http://www.investinyourchest.co.uk/ewa-michalak-revisited). I basically followed her lead and ordered a 65F and 65FF both to try since I've fitted 28 in Freyas in the past, and the band (for this model anyway) fits great.

    • How does this size compare to a 30DDD? Is it the same or is the F cup the same as a DDDD cup? The cup depth measurement of 8.9" would suggest this is the same as a USA G/DDDD. I've been contemplating ordering this bra but I don't use UK sizing since it's not the same as far as cup letter goes (E.M. never got back to me regarding their size conversion =/ ) If I may give an example...if a Freya Deco fits me on the smallest hook tightly in a 28F/G (DDDD), what would that be with this bra?

    • I generally don't use US sizing because I generally buy British brand bras, so I'll do my best to compare. Since a US G = US DDDD then I'm assuming a US F = US DDD. Judging by the size chart here http://www.breakoutbras.com/faq a US F = UK E and US G = UK F. I currently do not own any bras in UK 30E/US 30F/US 30DDD that fit correctly. This particular size fits a bit narrower than the 65FF, but I haven't actually worn it out and about so I will update my review when I do so.

As for the band size itself. Of all the Freya bras I've owned, I've always had the 28 band size fit me on the loosest hook, and this bra fits me on the loosest hook at band size 65. If you're on the tightest hook (I'm assuming brand new and not worn down to the tightest hook), you may need to go a band size down. I've heard Deco fits bigger in the cup than most Freya bras as well, and since I don't own any Deco bras it's hard for me to judge which size you should get. What I would recommend is find your UK size and order some bras using that size (it'll show UK sizing when you change the language to English), and a couple other sizes in that range. The reality is the only way to figure out if something fits is to try it on. If something doesn't fit, you can always return it.

Oh, I also wanted to note that it's possible to get a band size under UK 28/EU 60, but it needs to be special ordered and there's no return on those bras. I also think it takes about a month to make the bra as well.

      I really hope that helps.

    • I should probably clarify, by "I currently do not own any bras in UK 30E/US 30F/US 30DDD that fit correctly.", I mean that that size is too small for me thus far.

  3. This bra is AMAZING!

I can tell that it is a tiny bit large for me in the band since I have to use the second row of hooks from the beginning. I think I might go back and get one band size smaller and start out with an extender.

The underwires do go up a little high under my armpit compared to other bras I've worn, but it isn't uncomfortably high. The cups fit perfectly though! I do have one side that is definitely a bit larger than the other, so this bra fits that side perfectly. The other side has a little gaping in the cup in the front, but it isn't really noticeable.

I love this style compared to the other styles from Ewa Michalak since it covers and supports everything perfectly! I think this company will be my go to place for bras. They are so comfortable I forget I'm wearing them!

    Didn't fit

I heard this bra ran large in the band, so I ordered it in a 65H instead of the 70GG I’d normally go for. After trying it on, I’d say it runs extremely large! I can fasten it on the tightest hooks straight away and it would go a lot further if there were any hooks left...

The cup is weird on me. I’m almost spilling out of it at the top, but then I can’t quite fill it at the armpit side, and there’s also some gaping in the middle on my smaller breast (much more than it looks on the picture). The centre gore is far from ... sitting against the sternum – on the contrary it’s digging into my boobs.

The shape is fairly nice, and it looks okay from the front and the side. And for a nude bra, it isn’t as granny-looking as it could be, which definitely is a plus.

Edit: I requested fitting help and got a tip from Vee to bend the wires inwards, so that the gore would sit flat against my chest. That solved most of the problems! Obviously, the gore now lays flat, and there's no gaping in the middle, nor is there any spilling. The uplift and support is now very, very good!

The band will most probably be too large in the near future, but then I'll just have to narrow it. Now, as new, it's still snug enough. The wrinkling in the armpits is also still there, but I can live with that.

I changed comfort from Meh to Good.

Edit2: Even though the straps are fully adjustable, the embroidery on the straps is very uncomfortable against the shoulders, so I needed to shorten the straps to get just the flat side against my shoulders. I also altered the band to stay a bit more snugger. But now, after this fair amount of tweaking (band, straps, gore), this bra is one of the most comfortable ones I've ever owned, so I guess it was worth the trouble! Changed comfort to excellent.

30F/FF narrow and tall roots, projected, full on top

I bought this rather used so the relaxed band feels quite comfortable on me. The cups are nicely narrow but sadly a bit too large. I get minmal gaping standing and upright a lot when moving slightly. The detailing on the straps also makes them EXTREMELY difficult to adjust. The rounded shape it gives is lovely and it makes me very sad that there seems to be no new HP cuts coming from EM anymore.

This bra is very comfortable, the band is too big for me which was not entirely unexpected since it was used and a size up from what I normally buy.

    (purchased used)

Initial impression: Band is fine. Probably can do 70 or 75 in EM. Cup expects my boobs to be taller/rounder/fuller. Can fold over at least an inch across top. Bottom is filled to capacity. May be a problem with the apex being too high for my boobs. Wire slightly too wide. Straps are way too wideset, but may be a symptom of the cup being too big.

Initial conclusion: This cut is probably not good for me. May be better in a 70FF/G or 75F/FF. Will have to see. I think I'll have to find a different cut in EM.

Updates to come after better evaluation.

    Didn't fit

So turns out I mixed up my euro conversions, and ended up with a larger bra than I thought (30E, not 28E). The confusing thing? It very nearly fits. I normally buy 28DD or 28E. This bra gapes a little on my larger breast, and noticeably on my smaller. both could easily be corrected with removable padding. Unfortunately I already need to alter down my 28 bands, so the band on this is far to large. It is also very open on top, which I feel makes the sizing issue look more obvious.

It is also WAY cuter than in pictures.

Yea, finally got an EM that fits, though it is a bit loose in the band, but I think that might be because I got it used. I like the shape and life that I get with EM bras. It does compress my boobs a bit. I think the CH would give me a shape I'd like more. That being said, it's a great bra, my only complaint is that the straps are very, very hard to adjust.
