Comexim » Beauty Half Cup (since 2015 Version) (355) » 60H 28:8
Issue resolved
This 60H is certainly too small in the cup, and this band a bit smaller and firmer than my Bora Bora /some of my other Comexims. I may keep an eye out for a 65J ish looking at the measurments.
Original problem
I love this Comexim bra, it is beautiful and like certain aspects of it/Polish bras, especially these slightly 3part cups. (3HC?) I have been slowly losing weight and overall breast volume. Last year I had a padded 3HC bikini top in a size 60M that fit decently, but it's a bit too big now. I got a 60J hot chocolate Plunge but it's too big and the cups too tall and maybe slightly too wide. I recently got 2 3HCs from Comexim secondhand in size 60H and the mint in 55HH. The cups do look similar to some of my bras in measurments and when I lay the cups near each other they look similar I'm some ways. (Like my 28FF mimi balconett is a decent fit I compared the cups too) I think I misjudge the depth when looking at the numbers. In a way these smaller cups fit under my IMf good, well, one root is different different the other with my assymetry. I love bras with the two vertical seams that go up in that shape because the cup isn't isn't tall on the end near the strap where my breasts dont have as much volume. I am somewhat center full, and I think more full on bottom with my upperfullness fluctuating some during my cycle. I love this bra, but I am trying to figure out if I can make this bra work and in what size might work. I am thinking a 60K and that maybe that the half cups fit different than the Plunge styles, which I guess happens with other brands. While I can clasp the 55 band on any of them, it angles it weird so I think I would maybe avoid 55 bands, my ribcage measures more like 28. 30 bands are too big on the smallest. I like bras that give me lift but obviously this isn't a good fit, especially when I scoop and swoop. I think I am narrow in part because I am really petite. My ribcage is round and almost as deep as it is wide, so my shoulders are narrow even on my 4 ft 8 short torsoed self. I think my height affects my breast roots too, some plunges end up too deep in clothing, and I think the same may be true for some bras, that and I think I need more depth at the center wire? I think I want cookies to balance out my assmytry, I don't think I'll ever get the wire perfect for both breasts without altering the bra specifically. I use to have so much center fullness and volume that I probably needed overlapping gore's but it's not as big of an issue now, but if it's too tall and wide it pushes my tissue in weird directions. My breasts behave very differently supported than unsupported. I really think this cup might be best if I can get the size and projection right and if proportionally the cups dont get too tall and wide. Thank you so much If anyone can help me out

helpfulComexim also does alterations. You can ask for a smaller underwire in the larger size. Aka order 60HH or 60J with the underwire from 60H.

They make an I cup but they call it HH for some reason. I believe they go H => HH => J => K

helpfulA 28" ribcage and moderately full bust with only a little bit of "squishiness" is not going to get a good fit in a band that is 21-22" unstretched... yes this band technically CAN stretch around you but the cups are going to be significantly distorted and the strap attachments and apex of each cup will be pulled laterally outward to an uncomfortable extent. That is why the fit is weird. I have no doubt you can get a lovely fit in this design in a more anatomically suitable size.
If you have lost weight and previously had a much heavier, larger bust, you might assume you would need the same band size or smaller but this is actually not the case at all! The "footprint" of your breast base expands vertically when your breasts are larger, and even in a very well-fitting bra, wires/bands necessarily sit lower both due to this and to the sheer weight of a larger bust. But this means that when your chest gets smaller and lighter, most bands will sit higher on your body all round (they're not being shoved down as far) where your ribcage is a bit wider. Having less padding on your torso after weight loss also means that you're not as compressible overall.
Also, I know it's frustrating,,, but there is no such thing as being universally "a 28 band" -- variation between brands is huge! If you can wear a 30 in a notoriously loose-fitting brand like Freya, even if it needs to be on the tightest hooks, your ribcage is closer to average than you have probably been assuming.
TL;DR to come back to this bra: you definitely need to size up in the cup to some extent as well, but I don't think you will get a workable fit in a Comexim 60--you need a 65. In some models you might even prefer a 70 if they run small which is sometimes the case.

Thanks for your input @wendybian . I'm certainly not opposed to larger bands, I generally wear UK 28 bands but also wear firm 30 bands or Polish 65. I have some bras coming in from another user, one is a 28, one a 65 and one a 30 I believe. I also got another Ewa bra somewhat recently that In a 65 band. My Comexims so far usually feel best in 60s but even between brands there can be variation. (While Freya is known to be Stretchy and that's the case with one of my Freya longlines, one of or even the absolute smallest firmest bra I have owned was a Freya 28 band, which suprised me) I measure around 28 at my rib flare but I measure noticably smaller above it (causes me grief in corsetting with both my cupped and connicaped rib shaped corsets) Not all bands reach that point but I measure to the same point for consistency. I also think I'm conservative with my stretched band measurments when I compare with how other users measure the same bras, but thats not as important here. I have tried a pre-owned stetchy 55 band for comparison sake and while I could clasp it fine, I did feel like it put more stress on the cups (Thinking back to that blog post calculating the band legnth and tension on the wires and the graphs I saw a while ago, i can't remmeber who thr author was) The cups of that plunge are too small so im not keeping it even with an extender. I actually did try my Beauty Half Cup with an extender as well but the cups were still too small, and I kept moving it back to the origenal middle clasp on it, not sure if its because the band sits on the smaller part of my underbust or if im tightening more to make up for the fact that the cups are more sitting over my breasts instead of supporting them. So I certainly am not against wearing 28 bands or think that I am too small for all 30 / 65 bands. I am still in the stage of figuring out my sizing in Comexim and Ewa bras in general. I have a listing notification set up for a few different sizes, including 65 bands for this model. I am worried this bra may not be deep enough at the bortom for me in any of those sizes. there's also two versions of this bra I believe, some are 2 part cups some are 3. I love the 3 part half cups and people oeder customizations so even within the same bra they could vary. I love my 60M bora bora 3hc swim top, I wish it was a little smaller but I am stoked I am getting a different Comexim top that will fit me (which is the 65 band and smaller cup) I am keeping my eye on a few sizes and still hopwful I find this bra model or a similar looking model in an ideal size. :)

It does make some sense though for consideration. This fit is so off in general I have the cups hiked up trying to cover my nipples for photographing sake there, when pulled down it covers more of my ribcage, just more of my tissue pops out. If the comment above was TLDR I am certainly open to considering a larger band and 28 - 30 is generally the band size I wear and know it varies between bands and bras. :)

Yes the cup size was just not sufficient in the Beauty so band length adjustments were not going to help!
I am not sure about this design's depth at the base of the cups since the size of this one was SO far from what you need. I am really not sure where you'd want to go with sizing with this specific bra though... it seems like you'd be gambling since it's clearly a bit of an outlier: unstretched length is the safest point of reference and a 21" unstretched band suggests a model that runs absurdly small even by Comexim standards... unless it's a model that runs inconsistently, which is possible with these tiny brands, but equally fraught for future orders/purchases!
For more reliability now you might be better off trying bras that are more middle of the road in relation to the brand's usual sizing, and whose design is as close as possible to your natural shape and proportions... that means deep cups if you're projected, and proportionally taller-than-average or high-apex cups since your measurements suggest you need that (most people's vertical boob perimeter is significantly less than horizontal whereas yours is pretty close). If you're ok with fairly full coverage Polish plunge designs that should not be tough to find.
If you're keen on finding cute demi or 3/4 cups though, maybe look for designs where a majority of reviewers in your size range complain the cup or wings are more high coverage than they expected--or size up in the cups from what user measurements strictly suggest to accommodate your shape more comfortably.

wendybien This runs firmer than my other Comexims. Im probably going to look at beauty half cups around size 65J depending on the measurments, or consider other bras, I have a few in mind. There's also two versions of this bra, an older and newer and i think some may be two part cups and some 3HC. It was helpful to point out that this runs smaller than my other Comexims thanks.

Oh! I didn't know I could make that alteration. (Makes sense, i just hadnt thought of it like that) That's helpful, thank you. Do you know if Comexim has an I cup? Even though thr 60J was too wide and tall in the Plunge it may not be the same in the padded half cups.
