Which includes a 30GG Curvy Kate Thrill Me, 30GG Freya Ada Plunge, 32G N by Natori Conceal Contour Nomu Bra and a 32G Panache Nancy Bandeau Bikini Top.
I'm hoping to sell all of these to raise up some funds to buy more bras that will hopefully fit!

There's a newish feature that allows you to list your bra for exchange or sell. But in the search there are only three choices: sale, give away, exchange. Is an exchange or sell option going to be available in the search section?

I wish Bratabase had something saying whether a certain bra will work for your breast shape. Like when you click on a bra, it says (based on user's experiences/reviews) whether the bra works well for shallow, projected, FoT, FoB, wide, narrow, even, etc. Also if you could search for bras by those terms.

That's what the search by measurements feature is for--because there are so many parameters, and because a single bra design may fit very differently in different size ranges, it's easier to work with numbers. What kind of shape are you trying to find a fit for?
(Also, when they are first starting out with their bra-fitting journey, most people seem to have a period of doubt and trial and error in terms of qualifying their shape, and many reviews here are by newly-arrived users, so you can see how this kind of self-reported shape and compatibility success could be unreliable. I've seen lots of people confused between wide boobs and wide roots, for example, and newbies are often OBSESSED with whether they are full on top or on bottom when in fact it's not the reason they are having trouble with most of the bras they have tried. So, the numbers are more reliable.)
@wendybien I didn't know you could search by measurements, I'll have to remember that. I'm not really looking for a bra right now, I'm kind of all set. And I'm still trying to figure what works for me but I think I have even fullness, maybe leaning towards FoT, average projection, and my roots are kind of wide-ish. I'm really still figuring it all out.

I need a white or beige bra. Totally. But I probably didn't need the other 3 I bought for the free shipping. I'm telling myself nothing I have at the moment fits right. My Kris Line Gloria is a bit too big. My other Kris Line (no idea on model) is too shallow. My Freya Jolie is trying to ... kill me, and I need to stop trying to wear my lepel iris, and hoarding my Freya Halle for "fat days".
On the other hand...I already have like 4 bras on the way...
I think I May need an intervention.
On the up side: 2 of the bras are white. One of them at least should fit!

Oh heck you're okay. I just had 7 bras shipped to me on Thursday, that I now need to add to bratabase, and am hopefully purchasing 4 more in the coming week... WEEEEE...
It's okay, all is good. We all need bras for our small and big days. ;) Plus, seasons make boobs change sizes! I currently have 4 bras on my way too :D I'm also feeling guilty, but the purchase is justified because my boobs have been shrinking lately.

I talked about this same thing a while ago, but I don´t think the commentors really understood me right...
I would like to be able to search Fitting help-section with words. Like, I would like to look for fitting problems people have had with swimwear or bikinis. I also would like to search for different strapless bras there.
If I have ... understood correctly, I have to now first go find a bra brand + model and then I can see the fitting issues with that particular bra. That is really time-consuming. Would it be awfully big task to get the word-search for Fitting help-section in the future..?

Oh my gosh, I wish we had that too. I hate having to go through the whole process of finding the brand, then the model and then searching through all of the fitting issues to see if someone has had a similar problem to me. I just hate it because I usually quit looking after a while because I can't find what I'm looking for. And then I never get the answer to my problem unless I want to go through the whole process again :( It's so frustrating

Just letting you know that you can @ mention your listings, start typing the size of the bra and you will see two options, one for the direct link to your bra and another for the link for your listing (mentions don't work on all phones :-/)

Thanks for remodeling the home page! It looks SO MUCH BETTER.I've been wondering what could make it a little more inviting, and the changes definitely make the front door look more professional and easier to read. I was going to suggest one little change to "What people is comparing" by making it "What people are comparing" or something like that.

I'm glad you recognize it is better. I am not particularly happy with the over all look, but I think it is still better than what we had before. Still needs a few improvements but slowly making the rest of the site more phone friendly.
I am also surprised you saw it, since I figured most of you would already be logged in :P :P
Jj I browse exclusively on my phone and this site is so much more mobile friendly than most! The only thing is, when I'm uploading pictures of bras it won't upload more than two at a time. It allows me to choose them, but it won't actually upload them for some reason. It doesn't do this on desktop.

I'm browsing some listings and while I really like the "compare to your bras" feature, it's not always useful when I get bras that I still own but don't wear or like because of whatever fit issues (I'm sure we all have a pile of bras collecting dust in the deepest corner of our brardobe). I know I can just ... go a step further and compare to any specific bra, but truth is, I'm lazy. What I'd really love to see would be a comparison to the bras that do fit me, or maybe a list that I've put together myself, rather than having them picked at random by the system. Thoughts, Jj ?

I have a similar issue when I'm looking at bras on that I'm thinking about buying (not the listings). You can compare it to another bra, but I always want to compare it to a bra own that fits me to see if the measurements are similar and I am also very lazy and don't want to search for that bra and add it to my compare list. I'd at least like to be able to choose from bras I've compared recently, if that makes sense.
Random, the bras are not. Picked by their closest measurement they are.
As you noticed, you can compare with any bra you want. It would be same amount of work to set up a list and pick to compare to that.
You'd click someplace to present your lists and then compare with the list. Still 2 clicks required. Unless you do a previous setup indicating to which list you want to auto compare, which very few may end up doing, because they're lazy :-/
I could make the option to compare with a list of bras.
The detail is that lists not always have a size, you can just add models to the list so you cannot compare a individual bra to a list of models (well you could make lots of assessments, but not measurement wise unless you get very verbose).
Still comparing a individual bra with a size needs some understanding of what's going on (one bra to the avg of many bras). Right now you compare two individual bras, that's more straight forward.
I am certainly interested in adding more power to lists, I think they're a great tool to be sharing bras anywhere instead of pasting many links.

What's the best way to find out the best shape for a bra? I've been trying the reviews of each bra, but sometimes no one mentions their shape and how it works for them. Is there something I'm missing, or do I need to kind of figure it out from the info given?

Are you saying the users don't mention their own breast shape, or they don't mention the shape of the bra?
Speaking as someone with a hard to fit shape (very narrow and projected for my size range) I don't find it super useful for people to talk about their own shape because there is no guarantee their "narrow projected" shape is as narrow and projected as mine for example. It is more helpful for me to look at the measurements of the bra. That is the point of bratabase really, it's the data. Reviews add lots of good info but to know if something will fit your shape, the numbers are the foundation.

I think because it varies more with design than with size? Not sure.
I would LOVE to have this added.Especially since it varies by design.I have short boobs and some bras work for me volume wise but not height wise.

Woohoo! I've posted a couple of pics of me in a bra! I feel like I should be celebrating, even though they're kind of lousy pics taken with my phone...and after copying them to my computer library, deleted from my phone. ! Yay!

Why thanks! And *thank god*...the band is a bit tight when I'm retaining water (like I am right now) but when I tried the 34 band I just knew it would stretch out on me really quick so I went with the 32. When each bra costs what they do, I'd like to make sure that it won't be too loose in 4 months. I just wish that panache had more hooks in the back (3 instead of 2).

I noticed you say in the "listings compared to your bras" section its comparing to bras we own but the other day I got a comparison to a bra that I don't own anymore (I sold it here on bratabase) that had been completely the wrong size for me. Have you already fixed that? Just wanted to make sure you were aware it was doing that in case you didn't know yet.

Is there a way to list a new bra on bratabase as a babydoll? I feel like it's more or less a regular bra, but it's not exactly. I see some listed as regular, some as longline/corsets (which they are not), or just anything else. There's also no good way to measure the stretched band on most babydolls, which is ... something that should be taken into consideration unless I'm missing some magic secret. You can kind-of-sort-of do it by measuring half of the band at once (folded at the gore), but... it feels a lot more inaccurate.
Additionally, it would probably be good to standardize what "gore" means on them. I measured down to the end of the "band" section of the babydoll. The normal interface says down to the edge of the fabric, but measuring down to my thighs for that on a babydoll wouldn't make much sense! Same applies for wing height.
I have a Kris Line Fortuna Babydoll that I just added (http://www.bratabase.com/bra/dl9uv/), but I just wasn't totally sure what to do with it, entirely.

I have a Deco Shape AA1464 Underwire Moulded Multiway Bra by Freya in 30GG that I want to list but I have a problem. When I first got it, my mom hand washed it for me but she let it soak with my new Deco Underwire Moulded Plunge Bra (in black, purple and nude). The result was the color leeching ... from those three bras and staining the bra I want to list. You would be able to see the stain through a white or sheer shirt. I haven't tried to bleach it or remove the stain through other means so I don't know if the stain would come out. I've only worn it maybe 4 times and sometimes it was just for a few hours at a time. Other than the stain it is in perfect condition. I just don't know how much to sell it for.

If you sell it, it's going to be for a lower price because damaged bras shouldn't sell for as high a price as bras in pristine condition. I hate to break it to you.

I'm sure other folks are doing it, but I'm taking credit because I just discovered how to make taking bra measurements easier. Da DA DAAAAAAAAA!!!
I always put off measuring because it ends up looking like an I Love Lucy episode where I'm a red-faced, redheaded moron tangled up in straps and measuring tape and even the dog is laughing ... at me.
Today is not that day, my friends.
First, I taped the stupid fabric tape measure down to the dining room table. (To those of you with nice, fancy, tape-abhorrent table lives, bite me.)
Then - and here's the super AWESOME part - I used one of those giveaway keychain tape measures with the metal tape to measure the inside of the bra. The metal tape has enough give to be round but enough stiffness not to run away like a girl.
I'm going to be a measuring GOD. All hail.
Oh hey now - I've already improved on genius: I found a small but real tape measure with a blade-lock thingie. Yesssssssss.

Yes it's super cool, I just noticed today! I did see a bug - the value of the measurement difference it states is correct, but it always says it's smaller even when it's bigger.. oops! Also it keeps comparing the cup depth for me to a bra that is labelled as not fitting, and as no longer owned, so if there were some way to have it only use owned bras or fitting bras or choose which bra(s) it used for comparison that would be a nice feature. But it is such a useful idea for getting a quick look at if the bra might be appropriate/similar to other bras you have.
