Half-cups & Root Height

My project over the next week is to get all of the missing info up on my bras, get my bras up that aren't on here yet (I have several), and make an ABTF post regarding half-cups. I consistently find that either they're too tall (a full cup and then some, on me) or I'm quadding out of them. Maybe you lovelies can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I was also thinking of writing to Erica at A Sophisticated Pair, since she's tried Anna Pardal's half-cups, and asking if she thinks it would work/what alterations I'd need. I've heard she's very helpful. Thoughts?

  • It's not you. Most mass-produced half-cup bras are pretty shallow. So if you have projected boobs, the only way to get a fit for the depth of your breasts is to size up until the cup is also too tall and/or shallow. But the Polish brands definitely try to offer deeper half-cups, so asking Erica is a great idea. She can advise based on your size range and so on.

  • I can't wear UK padded half cups. I used to, Freyas were my first properly sized bras, before I knew anything about shape. They are indeed wide and shallow.
I do, however, have many Ewa Michalak padded half cups that fit my narrow and projected breasts really really well. So, I highly recommend those.
I've not tried Comexim half cups, but @PetiteCollegiate has tried the single seam and @lcl0706 has tried the two seam, so they may have some advice. Anna Pardal is very similar to Comexim, so the information should be good.
Erica will have good advice, so would Anna herself if you contact her directly.
