Freya Deco search

For those of you who fit the original Deco shape (tall, wide root), I am looking for a good size recommendation for all the new Deco's with that wretched trim.

I have Spotlight (Claret) in G, Darling (black) in G, and Taylor (black) in FF with the trim removed (this one is tiny so I save it for smaller days). None of them fit like the original. Spotlight is pointy and I actually had to iron it so it would move with my body. Darling is too flat and has very little in the way of depth. I've been able to try on Vibe in stores but it seemed about a cup size too small. Shape is just a mistake to begin with, no size on either side of FF fit me. So from the new Deco's that have been coming out lately, which one fits like the original Deco? I know the trim brings it in so I would have to size up because of that since I never had an issue with the cups gaping to begin with. I'm also looking for consistency. Something that fits true to size, and is also more flexible...I hate how stiff some of the new Deco's are!

I'm interested in:
- Delight
- Vibe (if there is a TTS colorway)
- Icon (I've heard this was supposed to be designed for top fullness but heard from a fitter it's quite the opposite)
Or any other new ones that would be a good rec. Any flexible ones?

I should mention I need a tight 28. I do not like Panache or CK. I prefer t-shirt bras for modesty's sake and a better looking silhouette.

ETA: I have original (Nude) in FF, Honey (Firecracker and Iris) in FF, these 3 with a dart in the gore to give more room at the bottom, gore and tops of cups, and Honey (Jade) in G, no dart. They fit my shape pretty well.

  • Ahh those new Deco trims. I'm on the fence about them, myself. I'm not sure if they are old stock photos, but I didn't notice any trim on the continuity colours of the new Deco plunge moulded (black and nude). Perhaps someone who owns a new one can confirm? The rest of the new models do seem to have a slightly different shape and stiffness from the older Decos.

If you're not into the stiff cups, I would recommend trying Parfait By Affinitas Casey (2801) if you haven't already. The cups are more pliable than Deco Vibe or Spotlight, but still retain that rounded tshirt bra shape.

  • Unfortunately I have tried Parfait. They only had the style I was after in a 30 and they were so wide it looked gross =( Sent those back right away! The continuity colors will always be trim free...charcoal is in that group too but for some reason Freya has discontinued it. I want some fun colors and patterns too. Plus the bottoms to the new styles fit better.
