Recent Bra Roundup!

This week, a couple of my bra orders arrived. There were some hits as well as misses. I'm noticing a pattern in that bras that I've seen recommended for wide set, shallow breasts just do some weird ass things to my boobs. It's like the cups will be wide enough but then my boobs will end up squished. Take, for example, this 28GG - Masquerade » Rhea (6121) -- it smushed my boobs into rectangle. Well, it also formed them into two rounded mounds atop that rectangle, but this was achieved through almost flattening the breast tissue and forcing it upwards. At first I thought it was because the band was too tight, but I tried out the Rhea with an extender and still had the same effect. So, it is now a bra reserved for certain occasions (if I choose to keep it).

Oh, and then this 30G - Cleo » Darcy Padded Balconette (6821) did quite a quadboob number on my breasts. If you take a look at my image below you'll see what I mean! It's too bad because it was the perfect height in the armpits! Not too mention, it is a cute and comfortable bra. I thought I'd give it a go and see if the quadboob effect would settle down after a few hours. But oh no. The minute I did something like put my hand on my hips or throw my shoulders back -- TA DA. I guess some things are just not meant to be. :(

This 30G - Cleo » Lucy (5851) is comfortable enough, but the shape leaves me underwhelmed. I mean, it's okay but I feel like it is nothing to write home about. I prefer this 28GG - Cleo » Natasha Balconnet (6841) because I feel like it gives a more rounded and lifted shape. I feel way more supported in it than the Lucy. I also got this 28GG - Mimi Holliday » Angelique Jet Lace & Silk Satin Maxi Bra because it was on sale and I'm still a sucker for Mimi Holliday. It's a comfortable bra and very pretty, but again, I think I prefer the shape of the Natasha.

I'm not sure where to go from here. Do I look for more Natasha-like bras? Explore more plunges? Try to find a strapless bra? I have an Ewa Michalak en route to me, and hopefully that will show up this week :)

  • I actually just sent the Natasha back.. The cups were too big. I really like EM bras

  • uniteacher that's too bad about the Natasha. Was the shape incompatible or was it just plain too big?
At least I know now that the Juna probably wouldn't work for me, seeing as how the Darcy doesn't. I have a feeling that if I went up a cup size there would be gapping :/
