Sports bras?

I'm curious what everyone is using for Sports Bras. I've never had one before but I'm kind of on the hunt because I'm getting into Just Dance on the Wii (for fun exercise) and I've found that all the moving around in my regular bras (Ewa S styles) is causing some lingering pain from the wires.

I currently have a Wireless Panache Sport from Amazon that I'm trying to decide if I should keep or not. The cups of course are too wide (boobs don't start in the armpit), but it doesn't seem uncomfortable. There's no separation but I'm thinking that's not necessary. It doesn't totally stop jiggle but it's way better than my Ewas for that. My concern is this fold that extends out from the cup. It actually looks just like this photo another user posted: http://bra.pe/IZNr/

Should I keep it? It's not like I'll be wearing it a ton, maybe an hour a few times a week. I'm just wondering if that fold will cause it to break down quickly, because I know it's not supposed to do that. I realize I probably won't find something perfect so I'm prepared to settle....but, are there any tips or other sports bras anyone would recommend?

  • i really like my: http://bra.pe/MYB/
the band is super snug and great, makes me want to wear it as a daily bra, but that would probably hurt from so tight a band for super long periods.

  • I used to swear by the Freya Active Soft Cup for total bounce elimination. I have to get one in my new size, though, since my old ones cut in under the arms now. The wired version is supposedly even more supportive. Both give super pointy torpedo-boobs, if you're worried about appearances.

I love the Panache Sport too (the wired version). It's very supportive, but I sold mine in the end because the padding made me feel overheated during exercise.

For lower-impact exercise, these days I just stuff my 34Fs into compression sports bras from Reebok, Nike etc. The sizing is so hit-and-miss, though. Like sometimes an L in one model is too big everywhere, and an XL in another model won't even go over my shoulders. I like the wicking fabric and the wire-free comfort. Have you ever tried to do a yoga plow pose wearing an underwired bra? Ouch!
