I further understand why I prefer larger bands (28" fit best, but 32" feel better). When my breasts are lifted and centered, they require an overlapping wire at the gore to prevent poking. Wide shallow bras on 4"+ larger bands prevent the wires from poking. And, although I'm thrilled with the lift and centering, wearing a much larger band is compelling if I never feel wires poking again. Ouch. Now, off to find overlapping wires for narrow projected breasts on a 28" band...or threading a needle to narrow my existing stash
