Just kind of a general question/something I've been noticing. All of my bras (except for my Freya unlined) look like they fit standing up, but gap something bad when I sit. This is happening with my new Syrena but she looks like an absolute, made for me fit when I'm standing. I had some gapping before when standing but that was due to the straps being too long. It's made of kind of a thicker material. Is the gapping when sitting just because of the way of the material and something that will be unavoidable or is there actually something wrong with the fit?

  • Are all these bras moulded and how are you sitting? If you're wearing a moulded bra and your arms are in front of you (let's say, if you're typing on a keyboard), then it's possible for the cups to gape because they have a fixed shape.

If your posture is the same while standing and sitting, then I'm not quite sure how it would gape.

  • They're seamed cups. One's a one seamed half cup and the other is Ewa's S shape (I think-3 seams). The moulded bras are too "shifty on me. I probably slouch sitting more than I should, but gappy bras should give me a reason to sit straighter. The gapping on this one's not too bad, but usually they gap a bit as I move around and never look as perfect a fit as they do when I'm standing around. However, as you mentioned, it's probably more to do with posture than the bras themselves.
