Mine seem to spread just a little...I don't know if they get wider per se but they get a little swollen and take up more room across my rib cage. So the roots stay relatively the same but the tissue itself spreads a wee bit.
Mine swell into my armpit. Suddenly, I need 5.6"+ wires for two weeks.
