BANDWIDTH - and I'm not talking computers

Why can't bra manufacturers just make the bands the same width all of the way around? I just looked at the Elomi Roxy longline. The front band being so long below the cups would NOT work for me. But I'd love to have the width in the center back. WHY, WHY, WHY do they have to make them taper down to 3 (or, even more ridiculously, 2) hooks in the back? What are they thinking? Especially for larger cup sizes. 3 hooks just isn't sufficient. And, truly, 90% of the heavy lifting is done by the lowest hook, as evidenced by all of the MISSING eyes on the lowest row on my bras. Seriously - they just get pulled so hard, they work themselves out of the bra. Why can't they make the entire band have the same elasticity? Why is the center of the band essentially worthless and the entire weight of my breasts held up by a 3/8" wide piece of elastic? Stupid. Just stupid.

Rant over.

  • I dont think I've a bra with 4 eyes/hooks per column? Unless you want more like a . .. is a basque like that, with lots of length in the back? but like they'd come in our sizes lol - i'm a 32/34 J/JJ

I like a lot of Cleo bras but cannot for the life of me understand why they use two hooks for all their bands. I know the Parfait Charlotte bra has 4 hooks but it's so wide and shallow that it's incompatible with a lot of bodies.

I have some squish on my ribs and tummy that forces longline bands extending under the cups to roll or bunch up. Like you I would be very happy to have a wider band in the back to distribute tension more evenly. I constantly feel like the bottom half of my band digs in, on all my bras except for the Anna Pardal ones I own.
