Underwire strapless/bandeau swim top, that has enough openness at the top of the cup to avoid squashing a "full on top" breast shape ... with a removable halter strap ... does it exist? That would be my dream swim top

You just made me think of Gossard's swimwear!! http://www.gossard.com/CollectionSwimwear they have some styles based on their Gossard Superboost Strapless (4628), I think I've seen them with removable halter straps.
Gossard tends to be wide, so if you are on the narrower side then it may not work for you. They are super cute and from what I've seen really well made!
