Looking for shallow 28DD, maybe 30D bikini/other swimwear

Last year I wound up wearing an ill fitting bikini because of last minute shopping, so this year I 'm starting with my search now. I just need some help from you lovelies as I have no experience at all with well fitting swimwear! :)

I'm looking for swimwear that is suited for shallow breasts. Could be a bikini, swimsuit, or maybe another type of swimwear that will look flattering instead of making my boobs look shapeless like the cheap triangle tops with tying strings. I'm open to all options, preferably with padding to avoid nipple action. Not sure if useful, but I'm 5'3 and usually need petite sizes. Could it possibly affect the fit of a one piece swimsuit or am I being paranoid?

I'm actually measured 26E, as those are unicorns I would realistically be looking for a 28DD bikini or swimsuit. Maybe 30D, but I'm afraid that it would be too big and would slip off coming out of the water or other activities at the beach.

Reddit tells me Freya triangle padded tops and Freya sweatheart might be good. I'm looking at the Freya Swim Tootsie Sweetheart Padded Bikini Top (3602) and Cleo Swimwear Lucille Padded Bandeau Bikini (0063) on ebay as they are affordable and come in 28DD. The Freya Swim Girl Friday Plunge Bikini Top (3610) girl friday looks fun too, but I don't know if a plunge will work for me. How about Cleo Swimwear Matilda Padded Bandeau Bikini (CW0083) ? Any reccomendations?

  • That's great that you are looking into bra sized swim wear well in advance :) Triangle bikinis are cute and all, but there are definitely more supportive and more diverse options out there. Regarding your question on one piece swimwear, the fit will vary depending on manufacturer as well as the fabric being used. One pieces stretch both up and down as well as width-wise, so it is more a matter of fitting within the volume range of a particular size. It can get tricky, so trying on a piece that you like is your safest bet.
In terms of bra sized swim tops with a shallow cup, you mentioned the Cleo Matilda bandeau. I have a 28G - Cleo Swimwear ยป Lucille Padded Bandeau Bikini (CW0063) that I think might be similar if not same design. I can confirm that the cups are shallow compared to some plunge bikinis I own since it is a bandeau. It's also surprisingly very supportive and stays up well as a strapless. The Matilda might be worth a try. Good luck!

  • You might want to take a look at my listings, I have two Freya sets that could be interesting:
