So, I'm on the hunt for a strapless bra. I'm entirely open to and kind of excited about trying a longline, but I'm starting with regular strapless bras.
The first bra I got fitted into was a Fantasie Smoothing Moulded Strapless Bra (4530), and it was terrible. The fitter decided that 32F was too small and put me into a 32FF, but that was too big, as I really only realized after I got home and tried it on under a tight dress. (Noticeable cup dimpling.) I've never really gotten along with Fantasie as a brand; their wires are too wide for me and their cups are too shallow, a combination that leaves me between cup sizes, and as a nice bonus the wires on the Rebecca Spacer bra (of which I own too many, thanks to overly zealous Nordstrom employees and my own weakness in the fitting room) come up too high and stab at me during the day.
Realizing that I had some options on Amazon, I ordered three bras: Panache Porcelain Moulded Strapless (3370) (in 32G and 32FF), Panache Evie Strapless Bra (5320) (in 32FF), and Curvy Kate Luxe Strapless/multiway Bra (CK2601) (in 32H and 32GG, based on the numbers I saw on here).
The winners, such as they are, are Curvy Kate Luxe and the Porcelain, but only and specifically in black. CK gives me more lift, but the Porcelain has a very nice understated shape which I think would go well with slinkier dresses and t-shirt type material. Also, the black Porcelain has the distinction of being the only strapless I've tried on that didn't immediately make me hate my body, as they tend to sit rather heavily on the ribcage and squash everything down, the opposite of the usual effect of a well-fitting bra on one's waistline.
I'll be re-ordering the CK in 32G, and the Porcelain in 30G/GG, because the Porcelain actually has quite a stretchy band and gave me no support in either cup size until I put it on the tightest hook...
But I do also want to try the infamous Freya Deco...

Well, I hope it'll be helpful. :) I'm also adding some Prima Donna strapless bras: Prima Donna Perle Strapless Bra (0162349) and Prima Donna Satin Strapless Bra (0161331) (32G both, on the advice of my fitter). I like the 70G - Prima Donna ยป Madison Underwired Bra (0162121) I own, and I'll be trying these in black since I so much preferred the black Porcelain...
I need to try and measure and photograph all of these. Bleh! I'm not measuring the Fantasie, the store which fitted me into that is making some kind of special exception on their usual "no returns" policy, I don't want to give them any excuse to refuse to accept my return.
