I am looking for a strapless low back bustier that is more open on the top of the cup because I often feel like bras dig in too much at the top of the cup. Can you recommend anything?
I tried this one (http://www.barenecessities.com/felina-essentials-strapless-bustier-8704_product.htm?pf_id=Felina8704), and it looks like the cup volume is too small (spilling out the sides) but the cup shape is also weird on me (cups project waaaaaaay out to the front, enough to look really unnatural on me, straight out to the front and then straight back in from a side view). That is not a problem I usually have ... usually I have the opposite problem with wires too wide and cups not deep enough, being squashed on top with extra space around the bottom. So I usually need narrow & deep cups. But this one was just TOO narrow and TOO deep. It was open on top though so that's a start.
Maybe I should look for something without padding; I don't usually wear any padding and maybe the padding is making fitting harder instead of easier.

I was fitted for a strapless and the thing that turned out to work well was to buy a cup size smaller then I would normally buy. Because the shape of a bra is built around the straps providing shape. The one I bought was a http://www.lanebryant.com/cacique-plus-size-sexy-bras-intimate-apparel/bras/strapless-multi-way-bras/animal-print-multi-way-strapless-bra/4043c4044c18109p131002/index.pro. How ever they also offer a long line http://www.lanebryant.com/cacique-plus-size-sexy-bras-intimate-apparel/bras/strapless-multi-way-bras/strapless-long-line-bra/4043c4044c18109p201352/index.pro
As I'm looking at the long line, I think it would have your same issue, where the cups come up and hit in the wrong place. If it were me I'd buy the other in a cup size smaller.
I want one that is low in the back, but thank you for the links! I don't think sizing down in the cups would have worked for this one because the underwires were already too narrow in my usual size. That's a weird problem for me to have because usually underwires are too wide for me. I usually fit better in narrow-underwire bras like Freya Deco. This one was just tooooooooo narrow for me!
