Comexim Observations and Questions
So, I've ordered a total of 4 bras directly from Comexim , now, and a handful from Anna Pardal For Comexim.
I know the generally accepted guideline here and on ABTF is that 60 bands are the conversion for 28 bands, 65s are 30s, 70s are 32s, etc. despite the fact that 28 inches are 71.1 cms, 30 inches are 76.2 cms, and 32 inches are 81.3 cms. The idea being that the bras have the European version of +4 built into their sizing.
However, the two nude Elenas I just received really do only stretch 1-2 cms beyond their tagged sizes (65 stretches to 67, and 70 stretches to 73), making them true to their tagged size. The black Mimi in a 60 band stretches to only 26", which is about 66 cms-- a *full* band size small by the Bratabase/ABTF conversion but kinda loose from the perspective of "it should stretch to 60 cms exactly". My red and black Queen of Hearts stretches 27"-- tiny for the 65=30 conversion, but if we look at it from the perspective of 27"=68.6 cms that's quite true to size for a 65 band.
My Anna Pardals generally have run about true to AP's guideline of taking a full band up from your usual UK size; a 30 runs like a 28, a 32 runs like a 30, etc.
I've read and heard some about how unbelievably stretchy some Comexim bands are, but I actually find that they run true to the actual centimeter measure. Personally, I find that Ewa Michalak runs far more in line with the Bratabase/ABTF conversion, and in my experience often even looser than that.
**Am I just imagining things?** I feel like see so many people with measurements close to my own mourning their need to go to a 60 band, and have trouble thinking of willingly wearing a band as tight as my Mimi's.
I've also noticed, though, now that I'm back on asthma medication that although my BTT is ~26.5" and my snug (with neutral breath) is 27.5", when I fully inhale my ribcage measures at 30.5" (roughly 77.5 cms). And I'm also noticing that at least while I have the bronchitis + sinus infection + asthma combo, bands that run closer to ~29" are more comfortable for breathing purposes. But judging by the skin imprints at the end of the day, when I attach an extender to my Comexim QoH to make it work for that, it rides up-- my APs and EMs don't seem to, and I'm not sure why?
Last question! I promise! Does anyone else find Comexim bands that are tagged closer to their underbust measurement in cms more comfortable than their ABTF conversion size?

I have no experience in this other than trying to currently figure out what size I am in both . So this is my question do you think it's mostly about converting inches to cm and or UK size to each brand size in cm instead of starting fresh with measuring with a tape in cm ? I am curious because I have tape that does both , cm is way more accurate and well easier to do . Metric why hasn't the USA switched idk .
Like I said I haven't worn one yet , but I am curious .
My understanding is that Comexim uses EU sizing, which means they don't convert inches to cm and (according to some) build +10 cm into their bands as an EU version of +4. By that standard, a 60 band *should* stretch to approximately 70 cms (which would be about 28 inches), for example. But their 60 bands, in my experience, really do stretch to just a couple of cms more than 60. Nearly a full band size below 28.
In contrast with that, from what I've read, Ewa Michalak uses a bastardized version of UK sizing. And in my experience, the Bratabase/ABTF conversion is fairly accurate for her bands.
I actually did start fresh and use my tape measure to check my measurements in centimeters, and it can offer a lot more precision for those who have a tendency to measure to the nearest full or half unit. Measuring to the nearest half inch is definitely less accurate than the nearest half centimeter.
Bear in mind that it could just be that I'm somehow underestimating how big my underbust is. Or I could just be overly sensitive. As I said in my post, it seems like plenty of people find that if they've been wearing UK 28s they want 60s in Comexim, or otherwise follow the ABTF conversion for bands.
