Gore help?
I'm new to all this... please be patient with my ignorance, but can someone please explain gore to me? If I am wide rooted, splayed and shallow breasted, what kind of gore do I need? I appreciate any help!

The gore is the center panel of the bra, where the wires come together. Your root width, etc, aren't really going to affect how the gore fits; what affects it is how close-set your breasts are. The closer together they are, the narrower gore you will need. You'll know if you need a narrower gore if the wires are digging into your breasts at the center. There's also gore height, if a gore is too high it might dig into your chest. That's all!
and just to clarify - it doesnt matter if they hang together or hang apart, what matters is how much width you have between them at the base - can you fit a finger between where they attach to your chest? Two fingers? Do they come together so there's no chest that isnt breast tissue?
and 'too high' depends on the shape of your breastbone. I usually find higher gores comfortable, but some people find that high gores stab them.
