Question about fit.

So I found a bra that fits. Yay! Right?
I put it on and wore it for 10 minutes before I noticed the sides of the bra between my armpit and my shoulder were digging in and rubbing. By the time I took my bra off (after 15 minutes of trying) I had massive red marks.
So... My question. Is this an issue with cup size (doubtful, since I have VERY slight quadding on my larger boob but I want to cover all my bases) or a bra issue itself. Is it just that the bra comes up too far on the sides?
I don't have any pics wearing it, and it'll be going back to the store so it's already packed away. :(
Thoughts and opinions are appreciated!

  • Sounds like the strap placement is wide? Unfortunately this is a common problem in larger cup sizes. I've found freya plunges have good strap placement, and comexim will move the straps in upon request.

  • And some cups are more steeply cut on the sides than others so they slope away from the armpit better. Sometimes you can pinch the gore together and sew it's and that's enough shift to help or depending on the bra construction move the straps towards the center slightly. But I'd only do those two things if I tried quite a few others and hadn't found something I loved better and I loved a lot of other things about the bra
