Hi all - any ideas on how different colors of Marcie run?
I have Cleo Marcie in a 32GG, in the older turquoise color. When out recently, I looked in the mirror and saw that the cup cut in at the seamline, causing quadding. I decided to try it in a 32H, but that's too large in the cup (the cup depth is the same as my horizontal perimeter; there's just no support). I'm considering returning it, but then I remembered how very different every color of Cleo Lucy I've ever owned ran and wondered if I should exchange for a smaller cup volume instead (i.e. a 32GG in a different color, or a 30H). So....
-Any remarks on how different colors run in Marcie? (this is bluebell, if it helps)
-Have they loosened the band up at all since the early colorways? I measure a snug 30.5", and found the 30 band unbearably tight in the turquoise. My ribcage is my one bony spot on my body, so I generally go with a 32 for comfort, but that sometimes backfires (shakes fist at Freya).
Thanks for any feedback you can give me!

I do think they've loosened up a little, but not enough to go down a full band size --- it's still no Freya.
as for the cup, if it's cutting in at the seamline but not at the top of the cup (aka "in-cup quad" but not "full-on quadraboob" lol) you are probably correct that going down a cup should help. The in-cup quad without top overspill is caused by one or both of 2 things: lower quality is one -- which, let's be real, cleo is not super high quality, and this can be exacerbated if the bra starts getting worn out. The other is too much overall volume, meaning that the fabric is not under enough tension but the seams still are, so they cut in.
can't comment more on the specific colors. but there is always so much variation even between individual bras of the same run that it's usually worth assuming any bra coming in the mail is just a trial until proven otherwise.
Hi melifish - thanks for the response! I'm not sure I was clear, and so I updated.
The 32GG quads and and the 32H is too big. I'm wondering if Marcie runs different enough in different colors to try another 32GG. I don't think the issue with the 32GG is that it's too large, but it is older and possibly wearing out, and so perhaps that's the problem (although it did fit perfectly, and I've gained 10lbs/an inch at the full bust, so that probably isn't helping).
And that's a good point about Cleo and quality. Two Lucys I own have a full 1/4" difference in width between the gores...
