Inconsistent sizing

This is going to be an emotionally loaded post.

I ordered my new 30FF - Curvy Kate » Tempt Me (SG4001) with matching shorts. I wear size 10 UK / 36 US when it comes to Curvy Kate panties (I had 2x Tease Me, Jewel, Flaunt, Thrill Me and Wild panties in this size ).
Imagine my dismay when I opened the package today and found Tempt Me shorts, size 10, which I am barely able to fit on my ONE thigh where my waist should me. Goddarnit!
