Finally got my Comexims! :D

So my tracking never updated (I posted about this earlier but deleted it, knowing that I would just be posting again later anyway lol) and my Comexims ended up coming today.
Missed the mailman and picked them up at the post office a few hours ago.

So..man, I love Comexim.
I'm not particularly happy with the appearance of the customized undies on my body; I stupidly gained a little weight recently and everything is all over the place. Having had an eating disorder in the past, I'm borderline losing it seeing all of this chunk everywhere, but, I know I need to calm myself before it gets worse. When my mind goes into obsessive mode, I end up gaining more weight and eventually after a long time, not eating and I just end up back where I started. It's pointless, but I am under a lot of stress currently and I understand, this is just how I am.

But yeah, I'm not happy with the bottoms on myself. My weight has been going to my thighs and hips as of late and all the weight has taken me from 35" hip to 37.5"ish. That isn't a huge difference, but it's a shock to my brain and sends me into a bit of panic mode.

On the other hand, I LOVE the bottoms by themselves. I sent Anna a drawing of how I wanted them when she asked me to specify "tanga". Basically, wide, straight band across the top and then a wider thong-like gusset part.

The gusset part on the Sonia is so comfortable.
I bought smalls knowing that I lose weight very quickly/was on track with weight loss, and being 35", I figured they would fit perfectly in a month.

But, good old Alicia brain messed that up a bit.
The part that bugged me the most on myself is the gusset. It's small, but my pelvic area is puffy-likely from growing up overweight- and comes out on the sides unless I pull the underwear down further. I'm trying to come to terms with the fact that it's normal and just developed from high estrogen and fat, but I'm having a hard time with it after seeing that.
I can't help but think how much nicer these might look on someone else. Ah well. My mistake. I just can't keep obsessing. Perhaps I'll go ahead and order mediums for the time being so I can stop being a hypocritical whiney jerk.

I'll try to get photos up here shortly, or on my blog in a few hours. They're sooo gorgeous. And I'm just so happy with Comexim in general for being able to do custom orders and just everything they do. I had both the Sonia and Charme bottoms made into tanga styles, and the Sonia and Victoria made into PL's.

Sonia is hands down my favorite for both comfort and fit. And my Musetta doesn't have a double mesh layer and doesn't appear spotted! :p forgive my forgetfulness, but someone commented saying it was likely a photography issue, and I believe that is correct. Reading reviews from balkonetka, you can have the Musetta made with a double layer of mesh, I assume for larger busts.
And I am so happy. I've been wanting the Mgiełka from EM for so long, but the SM as I am not a fan of the 3D shapes. I would say the Musetta is close to the Mgiełka, but more mature looking as opposed to frilly and girly-ish. At least that's how I perceived the EM.
Now I also feel a little better about selling at least one of my Claudettes as well.
I am likely going to order another unlined from Comexim.

I do want to note, it seems as though the Musetta, Yoko, Victoria, and Charme run a little smaller in the band. That is written from least tight to tightest.

I am currently measuring 29"ish, and they only stretch to 28-29". That'd be fine, except that 1.I have gained weight and gone from 27" tight UB/28" snug, and 2. The material is NOT stretchy.
I am so so so happy that I went with 65's and not 60's.

I am going to give each bra a few wears before reviewing, and reviews generally take me a while to get posted (like my last review on my blog aas about an entire year ago). Please forgive me, as I mentioned, been under a lot of stress and now the weight thing makes me reluctant to take pictures too because I just don't want to look at them and I feel..frumpy, I guess. I feel I should post them because my body isn't much different from an every day woman, and I have a lot of scars, stretch marks, and various visible imperfections. I started my blog as a way to help with fitting, review bras obviously, and to be a good example, and resisting posting due to a little extra weight seems like a bad example.

But yeah, it'll take me a bit to review all of the bras, so I just wanted to post a few things here first, such as the info about the bands.
I would definitely size up in the Charme and Victoria. The Yoko is just snug, but stretchy, and I got 3 hooks on my Musetta (great decision btw!) so not sure if that contributes to any issues or if I'm just more sensitive to the snugness of these last two because of the weight thing. But, consider sizing up in the band for the other two, definitely.

As for the Yoko, I think I could have used a 65F. My boobs haven't really grown any with the extra weight, thankfully! But my left side is still a little swollen from shark week and water retention due to not having medication for a week.

For the Musetta again, the cups seem a little big on top. I haven't tried adjusting the straps to see if this would help, but I shall see. I would suggest considering sizing down in the cup for this though. It fits me much more like a 65F or 65G than a 65E.
I will add measurements for all bras later tonight if i find the time!

Also, more great news: my EM's shipped out a few days ago! So I will have an entirely new bra drawer. Pretty happy about that :D

  • I understand how those downward spirals of body image issues start :( don't let the thoughts take root, they really are like garden weeds!
