Detroit Area Shops - Busted and Hush

So I just recently learned about two shops in the Metro Detroit area: Busted Bra Shop in Detroit and Hush Intimate Apparel in Brighton. Busted is about 30 minutes from me, but I didn't learn about it until today.

I first heard about Hush a couple of weeks ago and decided that even though it was an hour away (more with traffic), the selection of brands made it worth it to stop in. I'm still trying to find the best fit and don't have Prime at the moment, so trying things on in store is my best option. I did have them fit me, even though I've already figured out my starting point from my 5 measurements, and they did so over my bra. The first few were too small, but after talking to the fitter, she came back with a few picks that were perfect. Even though the fitting method isn't the best, the service is amazing. The fitter saw the fit issues that I had with each bra and came back with even better options each time. Both women working the store were so encouraging and positive and overall great to interact with. (Even everyone that came into the store while I was there seemed to be amazingly positive.) I left with two sets of bras and their matching panties, a sports bra, a couple of extra panties, a bit of guilt for spending nearly $250 but confidence that the store definitely deserved my patronage.

Busted was my stop today. I was searching to find stores in the US other than Zathiya that carry Comexim and stumbled on them in a blog post. They have a very limited selection of Anna Pardal and Comexim bras, and unfortunately didn't have any in my size. They do have a large selection of other brands, including Ajour, a Ukrainian brand that fits similar to the Polish brands, Tia Lyn, and Marlies Dekkers. I could have easily spent my entire paycheck here. Zee fitted me and actually had me remove my bra as she measured my underbust and my bust. She came back with the right size in every bra, was very knowledgeable, and knew what types of bras to try when the shapes of the first weren't quite right. I only ended up leaving with one bra from Ajour and a pair of panties but I know I'll be back. Zee really knew her stuff, and their selection was just as good as Hush, with each shop seeming to carry a good number of brands that the other doesn't. Busted also carries products from other local Michigan and Detroit companies, including Detroit Sock and Stocking Company and City Girls Soap. Plus, for all the lovely WOC, they carry the entire Nubian Skin collection!

If you are in the Detroit area and get a chance to stop by either of these shops, I definitely recommend it.
