The pictures we post here how safe are they ?
Yeah I know it's the internet and everything but I was surprised to see a bratabase picture being used as someone's "stock" photo on eBay . So what safe guard are in place to help prevent people from saving pictures and using elsewhere ? And do they come up in a Google image search ? Assuming that is how the eBay seller came across the image . I like seeing fit on real people but this makes me go hmmmm http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-30DDD-F-Cleo-By-Panache-Minnie-Doyd-Lace-Mesh-Tsrim-Balconnet-Bra-58-/152083959683?hash=item2368e90f83:g:QvkAAOSwzhVWriKW

Grimace. :-(
Pictures don't come up in Google image search. There is a configuration set here that tells google not to use them ( http://www.bratabase.com/robots.txt ). In the past they were and we got lots of good traffic from people doing bra searches but users in those days weren't happy about it.
This picture was grabbed directly from the site and it has to be reported to them. He came across the picture probably by googling "Pictures of panache minnie" and finding Bratabase on the results and seeing that the website had pictures.
Sadly, ebay makes it near impossible to make accurate reports and have a follow up on what's going on. They do not care much about that. Other option is to contact the seller and ask to take the picture down.
This has happened once several years (that I'm aware of) ago and that's when the watermark and logo were added, which deterred many, but evidently not everybody.
That time, I did go through LOTS of trouble and surprisingly got on the phone with someone from ebay to try to fix this (I wouldn't believe it if somebody else told me that they got on the phone with someone from ebay). The solution they gave me was to report the item from using stolen photographs (which is quite common practice on ebay and on internet in general).
There is no prevention on the Internet from anybody from saving on their computer what they have on their screen. As simple as a screen capture will get it available. By definition the image has to be downloaded to their computer for it to be displayed, so the very act of seeing it means it is on a computer we don't control.
Knowing this, there is a lot of thought always put on the site so that everybody is safe so nobody can get harmed, reached or contacted. More information here:

You are safe. You are anonymous (as long as you don't provide contact information) but (sadly?) the nature of the internet means that data is available to anybody that accesses the site. They may not all do as we wish with that data.
