Cleo Marcie questions

This week I recieved a Cleo Marcie. I really love how it looks so I thought I give it a try at a very low sale price :)
Now it is not such a bad fit overall but I have some issues with it:
There is some weird in-cup-quadraboob, but no "real quadaboob" since the top section does run big and the cup edge does not cut in. Also it is not really visible under a t-shirt:

Now I ask myself if the cup size is too small for me or if this in-cup-qudraboob just happens with the Cleo Marcie?

Another big issue are the shoulder straps. They are too seperated and cut into my shoulders badly, especially the edge of the straps feel razor sharp when cutting in :(

I just wish I haven't sold my red Freya Antoinette so I could sew those straps on the bra.
Is there a chance to fix the straps issue?
I just don't want to mess up the bra anymore and also I don't have any extra room in the cups, so I fear that once I alter the straps position, the cups will be too small for me.

So many issues & still I really like that bra... I'm torn between just sell it again or keep it and try to make it work.

  • It gives you a nice shape. :-)

Maybe it's hard to see in pictures, but I don't see in-cup quadboob, I see seams. Cleo Meg showed seams BAD for me, though the top of the cup was way too big for me because my breasts form more of a shelf on top than a mound. :-/ The seams in the cup were very obvious under any shirt and I tried a smaller cup size, which fit as well as the larger cup, just didn't make a very good shape.

On the straps, would it be easier to move the position on the back instead of on the cup? I've often wondered if just moving them in a little in the back would change the angle enough that they would move in on the shoulders, like a racerback does, and not dig in.

You could tie them together just a bit with a string in the back to test what it does in the front before you cut and sew. I don't know what the back on the Marcie looks like. Does it have that goofy U shape with the straps and band? That might be harder to adjust than the front. :-(

  • I get in cup quadboob and real quadboob (hexaboob!) in 30HH Marcie, which is clearly too small. I only get in cup quadboob in 30J Marcie, which I think fits me. I think the in cup quadboob is just a fact of the Marcie, since the two fabrics have different elasticities. I also find the straps to be too far apart and razor sharp. It gets better over time, but not really good. But I love the shape, so I put up with it.
