What is a "shallow" bra?

Figured I really have to ask this after so long: What on earth is it we call a "shallow" bra? Is it less cup depth compared to wider wires?

Or is it less volume compared to cup depth? There's a huge difference between the two of them.

Also we can mean the volume is spread rather than projected. And so on and so on.

I nowadays don't even have a clue if a so called "shallow" bra is what I need at all. I no I do need a certain cup depth to reach around my root. But it seems I'm now suddenly also migrating so I have no idea.

  • I use the term to mean a combination of wide wires and less cup depth. I would call my beloved CK Lotties shallow, for example.

  • To me, shallow means same approximate volume, shaped wider in all directions.

I think this is why wearing "shallow" only works in some styles/models for those who are short-boobed.

I think you can be short-boobed and not really be shallow. I think this likelihood increases the more your boobs migrate back home. It's the problem I'm having and the problem is getting worse and worse every day.

I'm hoping some half-cups and balconettes have straps that I can move in or I'll have to start making my own bras. lol
