Relatively unknown/indie/luxury brands (at not luxury prices lol)

I'm on a different kick now. I've long loved the super delicate sheer and girly triangle bra aesthetic that only those in the A-D range that most indie lines cater to can usually pull off. I'm not really looking for bralettes, I can make those myself and am having fun experimenting with patterns and girly accents. But I feel like I started this BTF journey a year ago, ran through all my UK options, found the world of Polish bras, and now I have more gorgeous padded bras than any sane person needs. And I hate to admit it, but I'm bored with the same options over and over. Maybe I'm searching for a unicorn that doesn't exist. I'm obsessively browsing eBay for super lightweight, summer friendly unlined options in pale girly shades - I have enough black. I'm right on that edge where I'm sized out of the smaller cup lines, but don't really want the "so much bra" look of the larger sized lines.

So if you see me adding some odd-for-me sized bras lately, it's because I've been chasing a certain aesthetic that's hard to find in 28 bands, and I can alter like a pro anymore. Like the L'Agent Casie I snagged on eBay. Loooooove that bra, despite it being a 32E. I can take the band in, I can bend the wires narrower. On paper, it's not a fit. But it's wearable and with some tweaks it's fine. It's stretchy all over and not the most supportive thing in the world, but the cups work better than I expected they would. I feel kinda slinky and minimalistic in it. So if anyone has any ideas for other, probably less popular or less reviewed brands, that may have something along the lines of what I'm looking for, toss your ideas my way. Sadly, a lot of this comes with a hefty price tag and I'm on a budget lol. There's only so wide I can go in wires before they become not fixable and I'm definitely a 28FF these days, but I'll entertain sizes 28FF/30F/32E (32DDD US). And does anyone else feel like me? Like they have an itch for a change, a different aesthetic, to explore beyond the Freya-Cleo-Comexim-Ewa that seems to run rampant all over everything? Or am I just crazy.

  • I totally hear you. I'm in the "larger sizes" range at a 40H how ever, I wish everything wasn't Ubber supportive and shaping. I feel like every bra in my size range is either such a bad size match or made in a way to challenge fort nox on security. I would love to find something in my size thats a step up from a bralet, fits and doesn't put my boobs on lock down... for less then $40... update if you find anything. If you haven't looked at POUR MOI they might have something that would suit, I found their sizes to be quite hit or miss though. I have a charnos that is very pretty, but a rather pointed shape which doesn't suit me. It seems like I see wispy things on ebay fairly often but nothing I can ever find in my size.

  • Have you seen the review of the Sophie Hines Ascension Bralette on the blog Scarlet's Letter?

    I'm tempted.
