Problems with Gossard ordering?

You guys, I am SO pissed right now! Has anyone had any prior problems ordering directly from Gossard? kerniss and I raided Gossard's Memorial Day sale and split the shipping and placed an order on 5/29. Five days later I'd gotten no shipping notification so I emailed Gossard on 6/3. I got almost an immediate reply from "Fran" that said:

"Hi Laura, Thank you for your order. Unfortunately we had technical issues last week which have now been resolved. This has caused a backlog in orders and emails. Your order has been dispatched. International orders can take up to 15 days to arrive at their destination.

Kind Regards, Fran, Gossard CS."

On Monday the 6th I got the *exact same email* from her, as if she forgot she ever answered me. So I wrote her back and said she'd already told me the order was shipped, and she wrote back: "Hi Laura, I'm sorry about this. When I checked the system on Friday and send the email it said it was ready to be dispatched that day but I guess it had not left our warehouse hence the email today. I do apologise for this confusion, it will be going out today."

So I assumed it shipped the 6th because that's EXACTLY what she told me!! A few days later I emailed and asked if there was a tracking number for it, and never got an answer. I followed up again yesterday, 14 days from shipment, because I've never had a UK to US shipment take the full 2 weeks. This afternoon, I got another form letter reply:

"Hi,

We have received your order but unfortunately had some technical issues despatching to overseas addresses. These are now fixed and your order is being despatched today for delivery later this week. Im sorry you werent notified of this sooner.

Notice how there's no name attached to this one! I also got an auto-email shipment notification today. I'm furious!! Apparently they JUST shipped it today, almost a whole month after we placed it. So I copied Fran's emails from 2 weeks ago and wrote them back. I said I feel like Fran directly lied to me or somebody did not follow up on her statement on the 6th that the warehouse had been checked for our order. I also said the mismanagement & miscommunication regarding this order is unacceptable and I asked for a refund of the shipping costs.

I know I won't be ordering from Gossard again. The real sticker is I'm like 99% sure the damn thing won't fit anyways, and if it does it'll need a band alteration. I only tried it because it's pretty and was on a big sale! This isn't a custom order folks, it's really not worth this - I could have ordered something from China and gotten it faster! I highly suspect they totally forgot to ship it & my email yesterday reminded them - like what would have happened if I never emailed them to ask? Would they have just kept my money and never shipped it?

I got their email about 45 mins after they sent it and wrote them back as soon as I got it, and that was 2 hours ago. I better be getting an answer fast but I'm not holding my breath. I'm glad it wasn't that expensive to begin with but, hello!! I want my shit or my money back, either one would do!

  • Ugh that is so frustrating. I was looking at trying a Glossy but after reading this I won't bother buying direct. I'll wait till one pops up here in my size.

  • Sorry you're having such a frustrating experience. I thought I was the only one who kept having these random nightmare orders! Hope you get it sorted out.
