Hi, I have an odd question that may very likely just be me being pedantic....but on a particular bra online the website states: "U-shaped ballet back prevents band from riding up".

I don't know enough about different shaped backs to have any understanding of what would make a band more/less likely to ride up other than more obvious things like size, firmness of elastic, maybe whether the material is slippery/matte etc....
Is it true a U shaped back is more likely to not ride up?

  • sounds like marketing crap to me. Tho I do think its more comfortable to have more band on the back, rather than just a skinny little band and a T connection to skinny little straps.

  • maybe because the strap weight will be distributed to the left and right of where a normal strap would attach?
