As I age, I want to do more about the appearance of width. I have a LZ bra that is discontinued, that really gives me a more youthful and slim appearance. A regular bra without strong sidewalls makes me look matronly and droopy. The dilemma is that all I can find is push up -- I want push in. Spanx has one called side slimming, but I think they are way over priced and somewhat unattractive. Any suggestions?

  • Look for bras that have side support or side slings. Fantasie has quite a few but I think Elomi does as well. Elomi doesn't carry my size so I can't comment on that.

  • Have you tried a longline bra, like the Freya Carys Longline (1313), Freya Piper Longline (1233) or Freya Ivy Longline Bra (1333)? You could also look for a bra with long wings in general or with boning at the sides like a "side support" bra, for example a Fantasie Savannah Underwire Side Support (2152) model. If the Spanx model is the one I'm thinking of, you probably wouldn't get a lot of support because the band is all stretchy.
