I got my friend and niece sized this past week...my friend got fitted into a 32DDD at Dillards (I think she can go into a 30F but Dillard's doesn't carry that size) and my niece got sized into a 30DDD...she can fit into a 34DD with room to grow (she's 12) at Aerie which helps us find less expensive bras and more variety but, as I said, the 30DDD fits best right now. My aunt wants my niece to still purchase genie bras but she's getting to the point where she needs to go ahead and get over the feel of real bras and start wearing them. I'm sure wearing the incorrect size was extremely uncomfortable for her anyway so now that she has one bra that's the correct size, we can work on it.

What does your niece find uncomfortable about structured bras? If she wants nonwired they are available in her size range, although not thousands of choices obviously
Is it just your niece's mum that doesn't want her to wear an underwired bra yet, or is your niece also reluctant too? If so, I wouldn't push her. She's only 12, and still a child, and it might just be a bit too much too soon for her.
