Brastop Returns Saga Continues
After conversations with Royal Mail, it seems the UK government imposed a VAT tax on my Brastop return. And, the package, sent on August 6, is still being held "captive." I'm 95% certain I marked the customs form with "return merchandise," perhaps I made an error.
Some postal card was supposed to be sent alerting me about the fee. It hasn't yet arrived. Royal Mail is sending an alert to Brastop and Royal Mail suggested I contact Her Majesty's Customs and Border Force. There was a recorded message only. And, I can protest the VAT by completing a form.
Hassel free? If pigs can fly.
I checked two other parcels I sent after that date: two more have not been delivered and are being held somewhere. The probability I mismarked all three of these packages is 0.
Never again.
Buyer beware.

Ya I have bought a bra or two from Brastop as well and on sale because I figure I can't return them easily enough either. It's frustrating as they have cute stuff! But that border...and call Her Majesty? Oh geez...what a pain!
After three phone calls, I still have no confidence this is "handled."
