How quickly should a bra band stretch out?
I wore one of my Nessa bras today, and noticed when I went to take it off that the band had ridden up slightly. Rather surprised, I measured the stretched band length, and it has increased from 31 inches when new, to around 32.5 inches (it's a 65F).
I've only worn it twice, but I'm going to have to start using the tightest hooks already. Is this to be expected? Or has it stretched out a lot more quickly than it should? I'm still quite new to well-fitting bras, so I don't know what's normal!
Maybe this explains why it was cheap on Brastop...

Some bras stay stretched for a while after wearing but then return to their original length. So you have to measure them "cold" (after they haven't been worn for a day or so). If yours was measured long after its last wear, yes that is poor quality. I would not expect a decent quality band to stretch that much until I'd had it a good year, maybe 6 months if I wore it a lot.
It sounds like this particular bra just runs big in the band. Bands tend to relax a bit after a couple of wears. My Betsey Johnson bras, for example, would fit ok on the tightest hook when I first got them, but after a couple of wears they were too large to wear, so I had to alter them down.
