Depressing Christmas experiment
My mom has been dead set on buying me bras for Christmas because she knows I need them. The problem is, she's not much of an online shopper and physical stores around here don't carry a 36H(UK). She still wanted to try the mall, so to the mall we went.
First stop was Torrid, and they, of course, only went up to a US G cup, and even those were only in large bands. No big deal, I didn't have high hopes for them anyway. Next stop, Lane Bryant. I'll admit, I was kinda hoping that their 38H would at least be passable until I could order something online after Christmas. No such luck. The shape was completely wrong for me. I was spilling out of the center, the gore of course wouldn't tack, and i had a weird empty space at the top of the cup. I think it was too wide and shallow, as well as being the wrong size.
Then she dragged me to Victoria's Secret. The first girl that helped me fit me into a 36DDD, and when that was laughable, she got a second person to fit me. The second girl was absolutely insistent that I was a 38DDD, even though i was falling out of the cups in every direction. "You just need a full coverage bra!" She said. "Try another one, this'll fit!" She insisted. At this point I was begging my mom to just go home. I'm really hoping she lets me order online because otherwise I really don't know. We don't have a Nordstrom here and I haven't had any luck at TJ Maxx or Ross or any of those stores.
Help.

Can she buy you gift certificates to buy online? I am afraid your size will not be in any department stores and if you visit a bra boutique it may need to be ordered in. What were you looking for? Ewa Michalak has 10% off gift cards at the moment.
Definitely try shopping online. I haven't bought a bra in-store for 10+years. Perhaps if you shop somewhere with free shipping both ways your mom may be more enthusiastic--amazon prime offers this, as does Nordstroms I believe. Good luck!
