First thoughts on Comexim

My first Comexim order arrived today!! I ordered a Gemma in a 3HC and a Diana, size 60HH, both with narrowed gore. They both fit! More or less ;) I'll post a full review of both bras later, including measurements, after first wear and wash. For now, I'll share my first impressions.

The Gemma is absolutely gorgeous! The cups are lined with a sand-coloured cotton, whereas the band and gore are lined with a shiny satin in a similar colour. The overlay is black polkadot mesh. Fabrics are very soft! The bra feels great against my sensitive skin. There is also a cute black velvet bow with a zirconia pendant on the gore. The gore itself is narrow, tacks to my sternum perfectly and doesn't rest on my breast tissue at all unlike my other balcony-type bras, so it's super comfortable!
I noticed after unboxing that the padding is a bit creased near the outer edge of both cups, so I'm hoping that will smooth out during wear. I didn't feel it when wearing the bra and it's not visibile on the outside, so it's not a dealbreaker. The band is firm. I think it will make a great bra for daily wear & under dark clothing! Only downside is that the seams are visible under clothing, but I layer up in winter anyway so it's not that big of an issue.

The Diana is the first longline I ever tried on and I struggled putting it on - I had to do my best contortionist impression ;). I started closing the bottom hook, then the top, and then figured out I couldn't reach the other hooks and eyes anymore, opened the bottom one again, started closing from the top, got to the bottom and sure enough I skipped one so I could start all over again. Managed it in the end, yay! But yeah this is definitely not a bra to try to put on when I'm in a hurry haha :P.
I do love the Diana once it's on my body! The print is very nice, I like the contrast between the dark green and the red. The outer fabric does have a weird feel to it, kinda damask-velvety which is unusual for me to find in a bra. The lining is very soft though! Cups are lined in cotton, the band in a black satin. The cups of the Diana feel smaller than the Gemma though, and it feels like it rests lower on my body (if that makes any sense). So I readjusted it a couple of times before it fit comfortably. The gore tacks differently as well, its less firm near my bigger breast. Once I have measured them I'll check whether there is any difference. The Diana seems to cut in a little bit on top, particularly on my bigger breast. I suspect it's due to the velvet trim on the top edge of the cup. For now I'd say it is more closed off on top because of the trim. It gives great cleavage though ;) Also the band creases a bit horizontally, but it doesn't create any discomfort and it's not visible under clothing.

In short, I love the feel and look of both bras. Out of the two, the Gemma is my favourite because the fit is more comfortable. I'm also very impressed with the finishing and detailing of both bras. The ordering process via the website was easy, and shipping was fast, it took around a week including the Christmas period to arrive from Poland (I'm also based in the EU so that helps). I'll definitely order from Comexim again!

  • I liked both of these styles a lot, but had to restrain myself when ordering last time. Thanks for the detailed impressions! Gemma just got a little higher up on my list.

  • ..eeeekk... I ordered a 3HC gemma too, back in November, and it should arrive in my mailbox any day now! Your mini review made me really excited to get mine in the mail! :)
