Hi. I am hoping for some advice re the fantasie bras. I remember many years ago having a fantasie bra that I liked. I think it was Shannon. I had in 30f and although the 30 was too big I was able to alter it and then found it comfortable. I thought the cups fitted well and were really supportive. Although the shape was very pointed so not right under some clothes.
This bra is now discontinued. And I always struggle to find non padded bras that fit me. So I would like to try something similar to the Shannon. However I don't know if any are really similar. According to bratabase there are lots with the same fit, ie all the other fantasie side support bras. But I have not found them all to be the same at all. What do others think. Are all the fantasie side supports the same or can there be some variation????
I think I tried Susanna on once at a shop and quite liked it. Although I wouldn't say it was the same as Shannon. Much stretchier and therefore not as supportive and I don't remember the shape of Susanna being pointy like Shannon.
However other fantasie side supports (sorry I don't remember which ones) I have tried on I think are bigger in the cup than these two. They seem higher and fuller and I think I have a bit of gapping ie where the cup meets the strap.
I have found a clementine on sale and think it is very pretty.....but not sure if it will fit. Does anyone know if it is similar to either Shannon or Susanna?..
From the pictures I think Elodie is possibly most similar to Shannon. What do others think? Although I wish this was in plain black and not with the silver....(this is what has stopped me trying this one).
Is there anyone who used to wear Shannon and has found a good replacement that fits just the same?...
As I mentioned, I know in theory all the side supports are the same.....but I really don't think they all are...

I totally agree that Fantasie side supports do not all fit the same. I can't make any personal recommendations myself, unfortunately. The Jana was almost ok on me, but they are all too wide in the cup for my narrow roots and side support makes it too shallow.
However, looking at the meagre data on the new models and the construction and model numbers, here are a couple suggestions:
Alex 9152 - possibly the best current model and appears to be constructed most like the Shannon in the seams
Mae - it is a model number 9102 and the Susanna was 2402 (the first two numbers are season related and the Marianna 9202 is a plunge).
The Shannon is too old to go by model number, though their are no --14s in the current crop.
The Elodie is the most popular model just now, but it is one of the oldest models they still make so it might disappear soon.
Hopefully you can find a bratabaser who has personal experience, but if you do end up having to try them all first, we'd all appreciate the information!
