Omega info?

So, when ppl said they were 'omega' shaped, I sort of ignored that. It seemed irrelevant, even tho I guess I am (esp when supported).

But my realization that the narrow cups of Ewa bras actually dont necessarily do me any favors made me revisit it.

My Panache wires are wider than my roots. My Ewa cups are narrower than my boobs, causing them to climb out the gore.

How do other omegas deal with this? What are specific things that work for omegas?

  • The Omega + long breasts is really difficult. Because when you scrunch your breasts up all the way to your chest, you get folding at the top and the bottom of your roots, and that causes bras to slide down for me.

I've been thinking about this idea a lot so I'm going to write a ton here. If your leaning bust perimeter is a lot larger than your laying bust perimeter, but you are omega, you could technically fit in a bra with the smaller measurement but it would fit you like your breasts do when you're lying on your back: they fold over your chest. So unless you don't mind a bra that sags over the bottom wire you have to have a bra that's closer to your leaning breast where they are fully forward and there is no folding over. So that means getting a bra with a depth that is closer to your leaning perimeter than to your lying perimeter if you want forward projection. That's why, though my breasts scrunch up to 13 inches, if I want to fit a bra without falling over the wire or pushing it out of my IMF, I need a depth between 15-16 inches, closer to my 19 inch leaning perimeter. Although for some reason lined Comexim plunges give me enough room at around 14 inches.

To get the projection I need, I've been buying bras that have tons of apex room. If the wires are too wide (they almost always are) I replace them with narrower wires. If you can sew at all it's pretty easy to do. You can hold your Ewa wires from older worn out bras up to your Panache bras and see if they might fit the channels. If they do, cut little holes at the gore, slide the wires out, replace them, and sew the gore back up. You can wear the bra at home first to make sure they're sewn well enough.

Everyone says that when you do this you will make the cup deeper. If you're actually omega that's probably not the case. Omega breasts that are soft get pushed back to the sides of the cup when the wires are wide and pushed forward to the front of the cup when they are narrow. They still fill all the cup space though.

The problem I have had with Ewa's in the past is that, as you get to the bigger cup sizes cup depth stops increasing and instead she increases cup height. That means you don't get the forward projection you need. I even found that problem in her FB line. I'm not sure how to remedy this problem. Maybe order from a third party and have them measure cup depth? All the bras I've ordered from her had very inconsistent sizing in my size.

  • I think my breasts are less omega-y than most and also softer (seeing as how i'm 51 and have nursed 3 kids). I do sometimes see folding at the top outer corners, but not as much on the bottom I think?

well, i guess thats not true - there is always a crease at the bottom, isnt there, except in panache. When I first found panache (and actually one too-big curvy kate I since got rid of) I remember I would put my hand under my breast (in the bra) and be thrilled with the lift, that I could feel the bottom of my breast being held up.

Ewas dont do that - Ewas do fold the bottom of the breas, you are right. Which is why the wires are SLIGHTLY below my IMF.

    Oy.

I've been at this for over 2 years and I'm still learning!
