So this happened...

Yesterday, I was having a conversation with a male friend and somehow we got on the topic of bras, when he suddenly burst out with this:

Him: So you're a D, right? I mean, you're big but not DD big!

Me (I could tell that any attempt to explain band size/cup size relationships would fall on deaf ears and I was eager to end this conversation): They use the rest of the alphabet as well, you know.

Him (in a very serious tone): No they don't. Anything past DD is made up by the media to trick women into lying to men about how big they are. If you've been told otherwise then you've obviously been lied to, DD is the best it gets I'm afraid, I should know!

... Not exactly sure where he learned this information and I wasn't keen to stick around for any more of his "helpful" advice. I made my excuse and left, wondering how many bra-wearers had had the unfortunate pleasure of similar conversations.

  • Woah. This friend has more issues than just bra sizing. He's been hanging out in the depths of the internet getting trolled and not knowing. I wonder what other charming theories about the female body he's got floating around in that beady little brain of his? Female orgasm fake? Women with implants "asking for it"?

Sets off my AVOID- radar like crazy. You were right to leave.

  • @cupandahalf It was very weird, we've never had a conversation like that before and it made me see a completely different side to him that I didn't like. It's times like these that I wish people came with warning signs!
