Bralterations

So tonight my beloved fell asleep at 8:30 poor tired man. <3 So I spent some quality time with the sewing machine. I couldn't wear my Comexim longline because longlines just don't work in me. So I cut off the band and turned it into a bandless bra by sewing another band on it and covering the bottom with fold over elastic! It works great now! And the best part is, no more dealing with the band flipping in on me!

Then I put the straps from the longline on a bralette I have that fits well except it's racerback. I just can't do racerback, it really hurts my neck. The wide Comexim straps are luxurious compared to the flimsy bralette straps. It would honestly make a great sleep bra now, it's so comfortable. I've also thought about making it more supportive by putting the longline clasps in the back, so I could hook the bottom band tighter. I might buy a second one in a larger size and do just that.

Finally, I made myself a pambra type thing out of unbleached cotton muslin fabric over cut up foam pad used to dry dishes. I'm pretty excited to try it out tomorrow. I'm hoping it will keep me dry and the padding will keep my bra from digging in to my IMF and ribs. We shall see.

  • So exciting :-) :-)

  • Awesome! Let us know how it works:)
I think about making my own bra liner too, don't want to spend money on this when it's easy to make one.
