I am SOOOOO disappointed!

Including the bras I tried before I found Bratabase, I have tried over 100 bras on in the last ten months and found one that fit. It was my 65J - Gaia ยป Annika Soft (553), which is itchy and bumpy under clothes, but doesn't quad on my centre fullness and has 14 cm wires! (I really need 13.5 cm, but that only happens when my order of replacement wires arrives next week and I can start altering). For reference, my EM SM, both Comexims, one Empreinte, Cleo Hettie, CK Daydreamer, Gorsenia K200s, and Impimi are all 15cm. One oddly shaped Empriente, my cheat Marcie in a stretchy band down, and my too shallow Miss Mandalay are 14.5 cm, but everything else is at least 15.5.

In January, Gaia released a new model in the S9 cut (Annika) and I ordered one. For starters, apparently Other Eden Ebay shipps from Poland, not UK, so some how it took a month to arrive. Then, if finally got here today! It is called Virginia, it is black, smooth, soft, and has stretch lace on top .... but the 65J it is 16 cm wide!!!!!! I will do a full review when I stop fuming.

But, the two S10s I tried were identical (Donna and Maggie) ... kinda. Donna was a little odd - the 65J was 16.5 like the Maggie 70I, but the Donna 70I was 14 cm wide and two cm short on depth .... actually identical to the Annika 65J, except the straps dug in to my armpits! But the Donna 65K was 16.5 and deeper. I am so confused!!! I would have thought that when a brand makes a fuss about identifying their different construction patterns and grouping them that they kight follow the same pattern within the same specified cut!

As I am now experimenting with wire replacements, the entire issue might well be moot as I can make all my 15cm width 13.5cm and see what happens. But really!!!!

  • I feel your frustration. Sincerely, I hope the replacement wires dramatically improve fit. Meanwhile, I continue to dream of accordion-like bras that have adjustable depth, width, separation, and supreme comfort ;-)

  • Ugh. I'm sorry you're having such trouble. I know that feel. :(
