Splayed roots
I've figured out that my roots are splayed, so they're very close together at the top of my root, and further apart at the bottom. that makes the fit of bras strange near the gore but I'm not sure if this is a problem.
Does a splayed root indicate anything that I should be looking for in a bra or is it just something that I deal with?

I have been replacing underwires lately and thus had a look at a bunch of different wire shapes. Some wires are very U shaped and the centre gore is almost an identical width at top and base. Other wires are more - for lack of a better illustration - V shaped and have a dramatic difference between width at too and bottom of gore. Curvy Kate, Flitelle, and Freya balconettes, Comexim half cups, and Avas all seem to have a more consistent V shape. Miss Mandalay, Gorsenia, and CK Tease Me are all extremely U shaped. Cleo Marcie and Hettie and Ewa Michalak BM and SM are boarderline. It can be hard to tell from the stock photos, but if you can look for more "V" shaped wires, you may have a better fit?
