Etsy Bralette Anxiety
I found an Etsy seller who makes custom bralettes in various sizes. She doesn't have anything above a DDD on her drop down list, but she does take requests. So, I held my breath and requested a bra in a 32:7 (because she uses US sizing, and cup letters after DD are all over the place).
At first, she gave me a little grief for my size (not to say she was rude, she was very polite the whole conversation), and asked me to do things like remeasure myself (she uses the overbust:bust method), and send her a photo of me so she could estimate my size. I refused politely, sent her my underbust and overbust measurements, and just explained that at my size I liked a tighter band, and that I wanted a band that stretched to a maximum of 33". In her opinion, my true band size was a 34, and she assured me that the a 34 band would only stretch to 33". I then asked if "stretched" meant stretched hard enough that she could almost rip the seams of the bra? She then said that I would need back closures for a band that tight. I agreed happily and we finally moved on from the size to the fun design details.
I was still a little anxious she would send me a 34:6 bra, and that I would have to send it back once the band was broken in. Luckily, today I saw that the bralette had shipped, and I checked her instagram feed to see that she had made the bra in a 32G! I can't wait to get it and see if it fits!
