The bra for me - does it even exist?

Hey all. I'm new here. I've been trying to order bras for like a week now, but just can't hit the checkout button. I don't have a lot of money, but being full busted bras are something I have to have. (It's not only about my comfort, at this size & shape it's a social imperative.) This is going to be a ranty list of problems - I appreciate anyone who makes it through this!

I have one bra that fits well and feels good. It's from Change (unfortunately the tag doesn't state the name of the model) and the size is EU 75J. (I know that Change bands tend to run a bit loose and I think this bra might be even better had I chosen one band size down.) Another nice one is Freya Fever Plunge bikini top that I often use as a bra. It's a good size for me, but I would prefer a more minimized look.

Bra sizing bothers me, I feel like I can never know in advance what's the relation of the UK cup size and the EU cup size in a bra before I hold it in my hand. I've ordered for example a Cleo Juna in 34F (this was back when I was wrong about my cup size) thinking it would be a EU 75G. It wasn't. The label said 75F. The cup letter was the same on both sizes and now I feel I can't trust the UK sizes in bra web stores.

As if this is not enough, my breasts are not only large, but also full on top, which makes all this even more "fun". I've gone through the blog Bras I hate and it helped me a lot. I hate the pointy shape many full cups do (I have tried on Fantasie Elodie and Pour Moi St. Tropez and they were both comfy and perfect in size, but the shape they created was so bad.).

I'm looking for anything that gives me a round, minimized shape. I'm starting to get a feeling that Panache's Jasmine might create a pointy look on me. I'm still hoping Cleo's Marcie would work on me. I really prefer wearing something like a full cup that gives support in the upper section as well, so there's not too much "jiggling".

Is there anyone out there who's had these same problems?

  • So, i'm not clear about round and minimized. Round usually means like a ball coming off your chest and minimized means the tissue is flattened.

If some bras are giving you a pointy shape, that probably means you are more full-on-bottom and need to find bras that work for that.

have you by chance tried a jasmine envy? the stretch lace all around might help with the jiggles and its not as projected as the jasmine (so probably less apt to loo pointy)

  • Sculptresse Candi is a full coverage bra with room for full on top boobs. You are a little out of the band size (it's Panache's plus size brand) but the band is made out of a firm double-lined jersey so if you are 34 inches snug it might still fit. Gives a round minimized profile with no jiggle.

Elomi Amelia Spacer Moulded Bra (8740) is a great bra that will mold to your shape like the swim suit you own. You are just large enough for it. The elastic might cut in to your fot boobs but it's worth a shot. Very minimizing, 0 jiggle.

Marcie is also good. Curvy Kate Princess Balcony Bra (CK6001) is great but super open so if you have an upside down seven size up even if you get a little lace fluttering. New colorways (apple, navy, hot pink) only unless you have very wide roots. It will not contain your jiggle.
