SwimWHERE?

I love swimming but I hate swimsuits. Buying them is awful enough but it seems to get exponentially worse when you HAVE THE MEATS.

It seems like anything in my size (30G/GG and FOB) is either strapless (I would like the ladies to remain in their assigned seating section, thank you), halter (decapitation hazard), or very bikini (I do not have the confidence). I have finally come to terms with the fact that my beloved Fantasie tankini is actually too full in the cup to give me the support I need. So it's time to go into the dreaded swimsuit section again.

In all likelihood I'll just end up throwing a rashguard over what I already have and blaming my Scotch-Swede complexion. But where do you lovely ladies get your swimsuits? (And your confidence? OTL)

  • I have a similar issue re: support and coverage. I don't have the confidence to go skimpy. I can't wear halters and don't feel comfortable swimming in a strapless. Apart from more sporty designs (like Freya Active or Panache has some), I find that a bandeau cut top is a happy medium for me. Bra sized, but higher gore, slightly more modest neckline, and tends to be lightly padded. If you have a bra you like from Freya, Fantasie, Curvy Kate or Panache, you can check out their swim ranges to see what's a sister cut. I don't like CK bras, but their swimwear is passable on me. Also, have you seen this brand? https://www.deakinandblue.com/

  • This year I bought a swimsuit from Target's Shade & Shore line: https://www.target.com/c/shade-shore/-/N-4sk58#?lnk=snav_rd_shade_shore&sn-51607828

They come in cup sizes, but many of the backs are tie backs, so you can sister size up to your correct cup volume. You can ship them to the store for free and return them if they don't fit.

Also, I bought some super high-waisted ruched bottoms from eBay to hide my winter fluff :)
