Stretched Out Band in Database?

Process-minded question here - I got a well-loved but still good bra online. The band is pretty stretched out, which actually works for me; in that band size I'd be using an extender otherwise. However, I felt...uncomfortable...adding both band measures to the database, as it might skew the averages for others. I know I rely on our database here - and the normalization of the data points can only go so far. Should I just NOT enter the 2 band measurements since they do not reflect a new bra measurements? Is there an asterisk or something if the measures are for a used bra? What is our practice?

  • If it's lightly used and so stretched out, I think the measurement is helpful. So many of us buy used bras, and knowing how a bra may stretch over is lifetime can be useful.

If its heavily used, its a bit less useful to include in the data I think.

In either case, mentioning it in your review is helpful.

I know I've seen the idea about marking a bra as new or used tossed around. There isn't anything in place right now though. I'd be curious to know why

  • I agree with annabellynn, mention it in your review. You could mark it as altered. I know you haven't done an alteration but a bra that has stretched out a band size is just the reverse of a bra that has been sewn a size tighter. It will keep the measurements out of the averages, but retain it for your records.
