I have a 34FF Panache Tango Balconnet that fits perfectly... BUT... it doesn't lift and centralize the breasts. They seem low and slightly east-west.

I want to find a bra that fits this perfectly but gives me the lift I desire. I have purchased and tried over 30 bras in recent months. Many of them fit beautifully but NONE really give me the shape I want.

I want them higher and more rounded and more OUT THERE. I think maybe I need a cup with more projection near the gore.

Though my chest is relatively "large", I do NOT look like I have a large chest. They look smaller than they "should" be. I want to look more proportionately balanced.

band snug 34
band tight 32
standing 39
leaning 45
laying 42.5

My basic measurements are Bust 41 Waist 34 Hips 43 but I look very bottom heavy. I wear size 12 jeans and PXL shirts. I am 5'1" and 170 lbs.

Suggestions are welcome!!

34FF Panache Tango Balconnet – great fit, slightly low and slightly east-west

34G Panache Tango Plunge – good fit but gore too short for preference

34FF Panache Ariza Balconnet – good fit but very low and east-west

34FF Panache Porcelain Moulded Tshirt – excellent fit and shape but straps too wide / won’t stay up

34FF Fantasie Belle Balcony – comfortable fit but sloped low and very east-west

34F Fantasie Smoothing Moulded Tshirt – good fit, great shape

34FF Freya Deco Moulded Plunge – good fit & shape but gore too short for soft tissue

34H Cacique Balconette – straps too long, cups too big

36DDD Cacique Balconette – cups too small, band too big

34F Panache Envy Balconnet – cups too small

34G Panache Envy Balconnet – cups too large, bullet shape

34G LeMystere Tisha – cups much too small but might try 34H

36G Soma Enhancing Lift Strappy Unlined Balconet – cups too small, band too big

34G Soma Enhancing Lift Strappy Unlined Balconet – cups too small

36G Soma Sensuous Lace Unlined – cups too small, band too big

36G Soma Sensuous Lace Unlined – cups too small

34FF Cleo Maddie Moulded T-shirt – cups too stiff & too open

34G Natori Pure Allure – cups too small

34FF Fantasie Rebecca Spacer Moulded – too much coverage, poor soft unsupported shape

34FF Parfait Fiona Balconet Molded Padded – cups too molded & too big

34FF Parfait Nina Plunge Padded – cups too molded & too big

  • Sometimes part of the hunt for the perfect bra includes accepting the shape we have vs the shape we picture for ourselves. for a while I was unhappy with how 'pointy' i looked in very projected bras, but the bras that gave me a rounder shape were painful. I finally realized my projected boobs ARE sort of pointy. Pointier-looking bras fit me better because they follow my shape better.

Can you make your breasts be the shape you want with your hands? Are they shape-able that way?

  • That is a GREAT question and a great point. My tissue is soft beyond words. While I have a "shape", there is no real substance to it. It's much like a loosely (as opposed to tightly) filled water balloon. Therefore, I depend greatly upon the bra itself to give me a shape. Yes, I can easily form (with my hands) the shape I am describing.
