Bra Band Advice?
I am struggling with finding the proper band length for my body. I have a V-shaped back. But I also have done a lot of dance so I realize that from a young age I was taught to breathe by expanding my ribcage. It is a hard thing to unlearn though I have tried. So though my tight underbust is 25", it can expand out to 28.5" or even wider if I am sitting. I find 30" bands comfortable but the back rides up. The 28" bands stay put but can get uncomfortable and I can feel winded in them when moving around a lot. And I do move around a lot throughout the day and need to get a lot done each day.
And forget the longer bra bands as my Satami bra band with 4 vertical hooks feels restrictive after a few hours of wear. I like the stretchy Freya bands but I prefer lined or padded bras. Their moulded bras are too shallow for me and their cup height is too tall. I like their plunges but again they are unlined. I like Bravissimo too but the bras are a bit wide for me. Are there any professional singers or dancers out there? What do you find works? Should I go for the uncomfortable 28" bands or the comfortable yet poor fitting 30" bands? Any tips that help?

Hopefully someone can suggest specific bras, but if you haven't tried this already, try browsing by measurement in bratabase and sorting by high band stretch ratio and then high cup depth ratio. Here is a link for size 28FF sorted for above average stretch ratio, and then descending by depth ratio.

Do you have any bra photos or fit thread photos that show the shape of your back? You may have a sharp enough taper that you would benefit from either altering or "cross hooking" the band so it is looser at the top and tighter at the bottom, if that makes any sense.
