Weird (wonderful) Fit Experience in a Sleep Top
Instantly, my somewhat narrow, center-full breasts fit like puzzle pieces into a used (new to me) small, Soma empire-waisted, sleep top. It was, literally, awesome and uncanny. Immediately, I started crazily searching, like a mad scientist, for the "magic" seams. Nothing. How the bleep can a simple tank top lift and center my breasts with no elastic--just a single seam running under my breast and two layers of rayon? And, why can't one of the 360+ bras I've tried do exactly this???
So, there is just one thing to do. Create a pattern of the top and assemble this strangely accommodating tank, minus the portion below the empire-waist seam tomorrow. I'll attach a piece of elastic and hope I don't ruin the "magic." However, I'm well-acquainted (too well-acquainted!) with my seam ripper ; -)

You don't need elastic for support, if you look at 1940s bras (elastic shortage) they had none or just a tiny piece at the back. What are the other features of the top's construction? Does it have gathers under the breast or narrow-set straps (halter or racerback type construction)? Can you find the model or a similar one on the soma webpage?
Do you have a picture of the magic top ? Maybe one turned inside out so I can see this magic too :)
