Cup conversions
Why is it that every time I think I've narrowed down my potential bra sizes I've overlooked something and feel I'm back to square one? I've been bying a lot of bras lately, starting with a lot of Cleos which I think overall gives me the best shape. I've been buying FF og G's and noticed that the lables list the same cups sizes regardless of using UK og EU sizing. This seems to go for Cleo, Panache, Masquerade (I know they are the same) and Freya at least (and Ewa Michalak). Naively, I thought this was the case for other British brands as well and bought 3 Ultimo bras in 32G. After owning them for two months I've now discovered that their EU size is 70J! One, maybe two of them are too big in the cup - maybe that's the explanation. I also now own a Wonderbra in 30G which is 65I in EU sizing. The only other time I've ever worn an I cup was while I was nursing my children and I'm way smaller now than then. No wonder I keep buying badly fitting bras.

Ohhh... don't even go there, there is no cup conversion rule, Freya and Panache brands will keep the same cups across countries, CurvyKate has separate scale for EU sizes, then Parfait has like 3 different scales depending on when they made the bra. Ewa will also keep same letters for EU and UK following Freya/Panache rules. Some brands will carry I cups for US, others won't.
It is a complete and utter mess. This is why there is no "browse by size" because knowing all this you realize that a cup size is completely meaningless. I have a blog post pending on this subject.
You can take a look at these examples, change the sizing system to a diff country and will see how the cups vary almost randomly:

I really really don't get why they do this. Is it that they just don't care enough?
If we are able to measure the cup depth, wire width and legnth, why can't they?
Why can't there be a standard about how deep the cups should be in ceirtain size and style?
Or then it would be too easy to convert from one brand to the other - is that what they are afraid of, counting on the logic - after failing in crossing over to another brand, customers will stick to what they know?
This makes me OH SOOOO ANGRY.
This is why I will stick to what I know - cleo's. And if I figure out EM sizing, this is where I plan to shop.
