High and Lower Boobs? Measuring Issues? & My Bra News on Nov 03, 2017

Since I have found BtB I have been obsessively going through the user pages, brands, adventures, measurements, and most of all my breasts. I have measured a dozen or more times and have just been generally staring at and paying attention to every detail about my breasts; how they sit, where the sit, the roots, projection, and now - dun dun dun - asymmetry that I never knew I had. I always felt lucky that I was pretty symmetrical and did not have to worry about that.
Here are the differences I am now noticing from my original thoughts about my breasticles: more even even fullness (circular outline) than FOB, more average set than wide set, and it would appear that I have a breast that is an inch or a half inch smaller in horizontal perimeter than the other. It also appears that my larger breast sits about a half inch lower than my smaller breast. So if the wire of my bra is sitting IMF on my larger breast than it is decidedly sitting about a half inch lower than my IMF on my smaller breast.... has anyone else come across this?!?!?!
I am also finding that I am constantly measuring differently for my horizontal perimeter, for my larger breast is is always between 7.25" and 8" and my smaller breast is always 6.75"-7.5", why is this happening to me? Because of it, i am too afraid to buy a bra with depth any larger than the bar's I currently have (6" depth), even though if could get the cups to sit directly/correctly on my chest I would be major quad-booking! HELP!
But in other news:
I JUST ORDERED MY FIRST TWO POST-BtB/BoB SIZE BRAS!!!!! A 28D Deco Charm Plunge bra, I chose this one (not only because I got it for 19.99$!) because it was (A) a plunge, (B) it is not as tall as regular Decos, and (C) it appears to me more closed on top that other Decos. The second one is a Claudette Fishnet Plunge in 28D, I love the look of Dessous but am wary about non-padded bras.....so I got this one, it's plunge, looks great, less coverage, and I love Claudette! Besides I'm holding out that I will hear back from another BtB user whom is selling their Claudette Dessous 28D.

  • That's great you've ordered some new bras - hope they work out, or are at least a helpful starting point :)

I think it's pretty common for boobs to end at different points on the chest, rather than having a level horizontal IMF across both, so you're not the only one, if that helps at all. My smaller side ends higher than my larger side. Have you tried shortening the strap on your smaller side?

I know it can be daunting fitting your larger size, particularly if you've worried about being small in the past - not sure if this applies btw - but if you're ordering online, try them on in the comfort of your own home, no need for photos if you don't like how it looks/makes you feel, and hopefully the more bras you try, the more comfortable you'll feel when you get gapping or wrinkling. Bras are meant to fit you, you don't have to fit the bras.

  • You sound just like a younger version of me!

I think what you are experiencing is 100% normal. We all have some sort of asymmetry, as no one is perfectly symmetrical so I wouldn't fret too much over it.

I also find that how I measure can yield different results. I found it to be more reliable to reach around with my opposite hand and feel my outer breast tissue then measure from there to the center. I realized my tissue ended a lot further out than I was originally measuring if I didn't feel it out first.
