Canadian Bratabasers - how do you mail your bras? Canada Post wants to charge me almost $15 for a padded envelope. I've received bras with cheaper postage than that, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

  • Within Canada -- oversized lettermail --starts at $1.80, must be 20 mm (0.8 in.) or less in height but you can bend the rules IME... i've shipped padded bras this method with no returned mail.

To US/abroad -- light ($6.50+) or small ($8+) packet air. light packet has to be thin enough to fit through their specialized slot. i made one out of cardboard for myself. it's like 2.5 cm or something? you can only send light packet at a service counter and i'm lazy so i pay a couple more for small packet which can be much larger and you can buy its postage online.

What shipping service does it say are you buying for $15?

  • Thanks yogurt, I knew there had to be a better way.

Back in the summer I paid return shipping for a bra in a padded envelope within Ontario. I'm not sure what service he sold me, but it was over $13 (and the bra only cost $20). I asked if there was anything cheaper and he said no. I want to list a couple bras, but not until I figure out how to mail them reasonably.
